SOUNDS OF FLOWING WATER
Creating this library we travelled to many secluded places to capture the pure sounds of flowing water: gently gurgling springs and small streams in deep forests, calm rivers between rocks or fields and thundering waterfalls splashing down mountains. Bring your projects to life by using, layering and transforming our water sounds in a creative way. Streams and rivers are an important part of our world and they form a big part of our aural experiences. Large rivers may flow majestically quiet, but other aqueous entities produce a lot of interesting sounds: they bloop, splash, spray, sprinkle, burble, roar, rumble, dribble, drip and drizzle. Every stream sounds different and mostly the variations consist of small, subtle changes.

We manipulated loop group and individual recordings of different male and female screams to create otherworldly, horrifying and mystical sound effects for your perusal. This collection contains everything from monsters, dragons, dinosaurs and toy soldiers all the way to giants and ghostly whispers, providing perfect audio content to spice up your film, tv, audiobook and game productions.
Our Audio Craftsmen recorded performances of our in-house voice artists using mono and stereo microphones to give you maximum flexibility. The source sounds were taken from our incredibly popular ‘Screaming’ and ‘Screaming Vol. 2’ libraries which were captured in our foley & voice recording suite, which has been used to record loop groups for major TV broadcasters.
All of the sounds are meticulously edited, meta tagged and UCS compliant, so you can find the right sounds you need and drag them straight into your projects. In addition, all the files are available in 24 Bit 192 kHz for further sonic manipulation and design (you can pitch and time stretch these to bring further interest and put your own stamp on to the effects).
The time and cost associated with recording loop groups and voice actors is high, so this library allows you to implement designed crowds and solo performances for a fraction of the cost.
KTM 250 Enduro Motorbike contains extensive exterior recordings of a 2 stroke 250cc motorcycle captured on a private dirt track in Yorkshire, England. With an amazing collection of driving away and towards, pass bys, extensive foley, extreme revving and stunt sounds in different perspectives, this library gives you that full throttle, pedal to the metal sound that you only get from an experienced rider on their own vehicle. Perfect for use in any project with dirt bikes or motorcycles, or for vehicle sound design.
Our Audio Craftsmen carefully planned and executed a recording session, capturing the essence of the motorbike with both a mono supercardiod mic and a stereo perspective mic for ultimate flexibility (these are provided as separate files). The resulting sound is full frequency, rich and textural, giving the impression of you being right there with the rider. All sounds are provided in 96kHz 24Bit and are perfect for complex vehicle design, being captured in the natural environment of the dirt track. As well as close up sounds, we also recorded some distant drive aways and approaches.
The library also includes sounds of a rider getting on the bike, putting on his helmet, moving the kickstand, pulling the vehicle, starting the engine, turning off the engine etc. and riding away. We made recordings with the rider following our instructions but also let him freestyle ride on some recordings to allow for the most natural and immersive sound effects.
All of the sounds were captured using a RODE NTG3 and a Sony PCM D-100, before being carefully edited and ready to be used straight away in your projects. They can be also be used to represent many different types of racing vehicle due to the nature of the engine being pushed to the limit during recording.

Using both condenser microphones and an electromagnetic receiver, our Audio Craftsmen captured material ranging from fences & metal coverings surrounding the power plant, to wires, generators & pylons. Our team then meticulously edited and designed these sounds, including a range of characteristics such as screaming interference, distorted glitches, sweeping electrical currents and much more to create an eclectic assortment of short ambiences. Perfect for building nerve racking intensity within your sound design in Sci-Fi, Horror or Dramatic film, game, or television projects. Cylindrical Gong is a collection of high quality, 24bit/96kHz, UCS-compliant stereo recordings from a strange, cylindrical, gong-like sheet metal object I came across once. I use the word gong, but there is none of the cymbal-like sheen in this object. Instead, you get more of a ring-modulated, atonal texture – perhaps more like a broken bell. Definitely not your typical gong sound effect.
The 27 different gong sound recordings included provide loads of nuance of sound from this object – I used mallets, knuckles and fingernails to play it! Load them into different velocity ranges on your favorite sampler, pitch them up and down, add effects, etc.
Use them for musical effects, for layering with other sounds, or perhaps mangle them beyond recognition.
RAW BUFFERS – a Discman glitch library.
Abrasive glitch clicks, scrambles, tones and bursts.
Harvesting the glitches from short-circuiting the “electronic skip protection” chip on a late 90’s Discman player.
Connecting the legs of this chip mangles and scrambles the buffer data, resulting in abrasive digital clicks, stutters, tones and bursts.
23 minutes (1.6GB) of 192kHz/24 bit recordings
UCS compliant and with relevant metadata.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
