The Mediterranean Summertime SFX library includes 120 selections dedicated to life and the atmosphere of both glitz and off-beat Mediterranean islands, during summertime. We follow tourists in well known busy bays, as well as head out to quieter destinations recommended by locals.
This collection contains recordings of crystal water streams, rivers, and waterfalls with close and distant perspectives of slow and turbulent flows. More than 80 minutes of high quality (24bit/96kHz) material recorded at various locations of Northern Greece, delivered in an easily downloadable .zip file.
Each recording is between 0:30 and 5:30 long and intended to serve those looking to build calm or dynamic soundscapes that show variations on several time scales.
Harbours Of Norway sound library features 25 files with ambients recorded in Myre, Sto and Nyksund, very small towns with direct access to the sea. Most of the sound effects were recorded at night, but since it’s a polar day time of the year, it was very pleasurable to walk and look for convenient places to set up my gear. Everything was recorded with an ORTF setup built from two Sennheisers MKH 8040.
Inside this library, you’ll find a lot of seagulls, waves crushing on the rocks and plants, windy ambients from the cliff, industrial sound from port in Myre with ship unloading the cargo, walla with steam engine boats and additional sounds from the boat engine market, and air cooling aggregates from food containers.
Every file was recorded in 96kHz, edited (I removed any unintentional bumps, pops and unwanted sounds). I limited EQing to removing harsh frequencies, or enhancing a little bit the good sounding ones. At the end of the chain there is a small compression, for louder sounds.
This library was recorded at the commercial port of Copenhagen. The area is filled with giant cranes, trucks, and containers, and is normally closed to the public.
DYNAMIC SOUNDS OF THE OCEAN
This collection of ocean sound effects is truly one of a kind, offering a wide range of detailed nature field recordings for your projects. From gentle waves splashing onto sandy beaches and the light lapping of water between rocks, stones and clacking pebbles, to storm-driven surf and the powerful crashing against solid cliffs, you will find every kind of sound that you need to bring the ocean to life.
All of the recordings are seamlessly loopable, making it easy and fast to craft your own soundscapes. Whether you are looking to design the sound of a raging storm at sea, the quiet rippling of water in a harbor, or the peaceful and rhythmic atmosphere of a beach, OCEAN WAVES has it all.
RECORDED ALL OVER THE WORLD
The waves of this library were meticulously recorded on the coasts and beaches of some of the world’s most beautiful bodies of water – the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, the North Sea and the South China Sea. We have spent countless hours capturing the perfect wave sound, and this extensive effort has resulted in an exceptional and varied selection of recordings, ready to be used to create the perfect ocean-inspired atmosphere.

Ocean Waves has a varied and incredibly detailed set of sound recordings that I have used in my last two projects, and have utilised in my current one. I now know I have the detail I require when I am track laying any type of sea or beach scenes. The tracks range from the roar of ocean waves to the gentle lapping of water with more in between – the variation is great. All are clean of any background noise and fit perfectly into making a scene as real as possible.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
