'Turkey' is a unique collection of 36 sounds recorded during a Turkish journey on the road last summer with an amazing meeting point between Europe and Asia through incredibly diverse landscapes, cultures and traditions. What an unusual and surprising journey from Istanbul through the plains of Anatolia and Aegean coast during Ramadan. This library includes:

    • The muezzin leading a call to prayer recorded from different perspectives
    • Villages and countryside
    • Markets and big bazaar
    • Cities: Istanbul and Antalya
    • Calls to prayer in and from mosque

  • Useful Sound Effects releases Earthquakes, a library that contains both stereo and binaural earthquake sound effects. Sounds range from complete mixes that maintain original dynamics, indoor sensations, exterior and underwater settings. Two folders have been added with assets to create or modify your own sounds with rattling metals, shaking objects, falling debris, low rumbles…

Having felt and heard earthquakes, I wanted the sounds to translate this feeling of awkward “calmness”. The seismic effects are often delicate, but nevertheless unexpected.

These are not the Hollywood-style overwhelming crushing sounds but the more mystical, delicate sounds of the earth trembling, shifting tectonic plates, seismic movements, tremors that come from deep inside our planet and that are heard from the exterior or our interior, like houses, office, urbex-type sites.

UCS compliant files with 225 sounds that can be easily edited to fit image or story.

  • Suburban Ambiences is a collection of almost 6 hours of residential ambiences that cover various times of day and year, collected over the past 8-10 years by owner, David Fienup. This is the ultimate collection to help you design your suburban soundscapes.

Atacama Desert is a collection of stereo and quad soundscapes recorded in the barren but amazingly beautiful desert plateau of Western Chile. This is the most arid desert on Earth, with some weather stations here having never recorded any rain. It’s a breathtaking place with incredible silence and powerful winds. The soundscapes in this collection were recorded around giant rock pillars, endless rock plains and fields of sparse dry vegetation.

This library is the perfect way to portray the barren expanse of the Atacama desert. Some of the soundscapes recorded are the lightest of desert airs. The others feature wind, from light and soft to heavy and gusty. Lastly, some of the recordings also include flies buzzing around.

This library was recorded in several locations on the border between Chile, Argentina and Bolivia . Reaching this part of the world was no easy task, as you can see in the second part of the teaser video.

  • The Farm is a sound library that I compiled about a year ago just for fun and I kept adding sounds recorded at the same location in the Canadian countryside at 4 different farms. During the recording session, I’ve been lucky enough to have met some fantastic people ready to share their passion for farming and pointing me out to what they felt was an essential part of their everyday soundscape.

I had the chance to stumble on two late 50s John Deere tractors that where still functional and that marked the end of an era. It is a comprehensive farm sound library that is not just about tractors or animals.

You will find, in the bonus section, 6 different footsteps surfaces each with a walk and run variation and some more. There are five main categories in this library: Ambiances, Animals, Footsteps, Misc (Various SFX) and Vehicles ready for creating a convincing farm soundscape for your project.

  • Wind, birds, the occasional chattering squirrel and more. A focus on daytime, with some sections covering the entire progression of first light through late morning in ever louder bird sounds. A variety of thrushes, jays, woodpeckers, etc in isolated clips and long ambiances of minutes or more.
