  • Animal Sound Effects Eurasian Insects Play Track 500+ sounds included $92

    This library focuses on isolated recordings of single insects, mainly from Northern Europe. While all insects have been recorded in the wild in Northern Europe, most also appear in all of Europe, Asia, North Africa and some have been introduced to America and Australia too.

    For this library I recorded various species of wild bees, wasps, bugs, cicades, grasshoppers, flys, dragonflies, butterflies, ants, sandfleas and underwater bugs. A detailed list of all species is at the end.

    You will find flybys, wing buzzes, hums, rattles, little feet, stridulations, jumps and even bites.

    Over the course of years I improved my recording of these little animals by approaching them with a set of different micing techniques, always looking for the best spots to record these small creatures, making sure not to disturb them.

    Many recordings were performed with microphones and recorders that go up to 192kHz to capture the ultra frequencies emitted by some individuals. Some grasshoppers you won’t even hear unless you pitch them down or play them slower.

    While I find their crispy, clear and often bassy sounds lovely, some of the noises of the animals can be decribed as annoying, scary, sharp or intensive.

    But besides for the original recorded species, these noises can be used to create swarms or all kind of insects or little creatures, like elves, aliens and fairies.

    In addition to the close up recordings, I added a few swarms, real and designed, a couple of ambiences and a few designed insect sounds.

    For this occasion, a Sennheiser MKH 8050 and a Sanken CO-100K microphone were used, along with a Zoom H6 recorder to capture the stereo sound.     “The Animal Symphony – Donkey” offers a collection of 69 high-quality audio tracks, each with multiple sounds (between 3 and 6 variations). The audios are organized with an intuitive nomenclature, allowing you to easily swap the different microphone jacks, so you can choose which microphone to use or combine them all. Using two high-end microphones, the Sennheiser MKH 8050 and an EM258 capsule microphone, along with a Zoom H6 recorder for stereo sound, we have captured every detail and nuance of these sounds. Recordings were made at 24-bit and 192kHz/96kHz, ensuring professional clarity and depth.

    This collection offers a wide variety of braying, growling, donkeys eating, etc… these sounds are perfect for adding realism and authenticity to your projects. With multiple takes and variations, this library provides the flexibility needed for any type of production requiring sounds from these animals. All recordings have been carefully edited to eliminate external noises, such as birds, wind or people. Furthermore, thanks to the ultrasonic microphones used, it is guaranteed that whoever decides to lower the tone will continue to obtain frequency richness.

    The Farm is a sound library that I compiled about a year ago just for fun and I kept adding sounds recorded at the same location in the Canadian countryside at 4 different farms. During the recording session, I’ve been lucky enough to have met some fantastic people ready to share their passion for farming and pointing me out to what they felt was an essential part of their everyday soundscape.

    I had the chance to stumble on two late 50s John Deere tractors that where still functional and that marked the end of an era. It is a comprehensive farm sound library that is not just about tractors or animals.

    You will find, in the bonus section, 6 different footsteps surfaces each with a walk and run variation and some more. There are five main categories in this library: Ambiances, Animals, Footsteps, Misc (Various SFX) and Vehicles ready for creating a convincing farm soundscape for your project.

  • Animal Sound Effects Bisons Play Track 16 sounds included $75

    Recording animals can be tricky, fun and surprising. Recording bison bulls in rut is all the, with a fair bit of anxiety added.
    The male bison bull can weigh up to 2000 pounds and are as tall as a regular sized man. When these animals are in rut, usually around late in summer, they are extremly aggressive and are not animals you should get in close contact with, without a wrangler who really knows what he or she is doing.
    With that in mind Peter Albrechtsen and myself found ourselves on a ranch in Morud on Fyn, Denmark, where we recorded bisons in rut from the back of an open pick up truck.

    The final recordings going into this library are both the stereo Telinga files and 2 tracks of Mkh416 amd Sanken CO100K files. All synced up, UCS ready and filled with some of the most organic and monsterous deep growling and otherworldly sounds we have ever recorded.

    Recorders used: Sounddevices 702 and MixPre 6.
    Microphones used: Telinga Parabolic dish and mic. Sennheiser Mkh416. Sanken CO 100K.

    A note about this library: Even though we did our best to avoid birds, winds and distant traffic wash, these noises are some times present in the sounds. They are however not audible in the actual growls and bellows etc. But please listen to the demo beforehand, and decide for yourself!

  • Firearms Sound Effects Urban Environment Guns – FIBUA – Fighting In Built-Up Area Play Track 218+ sounds included, 226 mins total $199

    Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments!  For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations.  Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.

    The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production.  It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.

    This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.

    Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.

    Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
