What is Odds and Ends?
Let me soothe your worried mind with a short concise explanation:
Odds and Ends is basically a general SFX library, but smaller. Most general libraries total up to about 100gb or more, whereas this is a lot of the same material, but aimed to supplement your already existing library.
Odds and Ends contains a variety of ambiances, studio foley, and unique one off recordings that couldn't be expanded into a full library; for instance recordings of a baby alligator chirping, or a small collection of submarine ambiances.
On that note, one of the most extensive portions of the library are 8gb of various stereo ambiances. Due to how much I traveled during the production of this library, I’ve covered quite a few locations, from the Pacific NW to the Deep South.
Take a look through the metadata sheet provided below, and give the demo a listen.
BOWS & CROSSBOWS SOURCE has 1600+ high quality WAV files with all sorts of bow sounds, all withing reach using our metadata.
This collection is the ideal tool kit for any Robin Hood esque scenario you might be working on. These sounds could also be used to design all sorts of slings, lauchers and other modern and medieval ranged weaponry. Sky’s the limit!
Including sounds from arrow/quiver foley, string draw/release creak, cloth leather and weapon draw/sheath, crossbow metal mechanisms, arrow shooting, arrow swish passby.
The ultimate metal sound toolbox with all the sounds you need for your metallic cravings!
METAL PHYSICS IMPACTS & MOVEMENT DESIGNED contains 2306 sounds in 104 categories weighing in at 3.74 GB!

Breathe fear and awe into your work with Atmospheric Dread, carefully designed and ever-evolving drones, intertwined with swelling textures.
Inspired by the sound of films such as Arrival, Blade Runner 2049, Interstellar, Alien: Covenant, Prometheus, and more, I’ve created a new Drone library, all whilst listening to the feedback from Aberrant Drones users, and reviewers.
I’ve not only worked on improving the quality of the soundscapes further, but I’ve also broken down files into more manageable chunks, up to around 6 minutes long, and brutally cut out whatever did not feel like it should go in the library.
As a result, Atmospheric Dread is a smaller library, at least compared to the massive Aberrant Drones, whilst delivering 63 minutes of gut-wrenching, eye-widening, and fear-inducing soundscapes.
The library is comprised of 24bit/96kHz .WAV files, all stuffed to the brim with rich, and descriptive SoundMiner metadata, thus allowing you to find what you need immediately.
This library features various recordings of traffic ranging from rural highways, inner city, residential, city CBD and wet traffic. Metadata includes information such as time of day, location and how busy the roads are. All sounds were recorded using the DPA 5100 and Sound Devices 788T this library is delivered to you in 24bit / 96khz and is available in stereo or 5.0 (5.0 version includes stereo files as well).
For those who need to design indoor explosions and gunshot acoustics this pack is for you! Contains 773 source sounds, with a minimum of three distance layers for each bang environment.
Perfect for designing guns and explosion sounds that need to have different characteristics depending on distance — it’s how the pros do it!

“Wilderness Americas : Geyser and Volcano” is a collection of sounds focused on geothermal phenomena of Central and North America.
We recorded geysers in the Yellowstone National Park (USA) and two very actives volcanoes: the Fuego in Guatemala, and the Masaya in Nicaragua.
To complete this sound library, we added natural sound elements which are very efficient for sound design as designed sound material:
“Super volcano” eruption sounds, magma lake ebullition sounds, lava movement, and landslide sounds.
The geyser and Masaya volcano sounds (magma lake, lava movement) were recorded with the Telinga Parabola with a Sennheiser MKH 8040. The Telinga was used for its powerful ability to focus on sound details at a reasonable distance.
The explosions and eruptions of the Fuego volcano were recorded in surround with a Sennheiser DMS setup (MKH 8040-30) and also with the Telinga Parabola + MKH 8020.
-This sound bank contains 56 sound takes recorded in 24/96 kHz, and a total of 122 files.

While straying through several antiques shops and flea markets I unveiled a lot of very interesting and organic sounds with character. Sounds that only prop up with plenty years of service can do.

This library gets you atmospheric ambiences from all over the world; from the UK, Greece, Spain, Morocco to Germany and America – and includes cities like Jerusalem, Las Vegas and many more. The recordings have been captured on land, at sea and in the air – and with over 6 hours of ambiences in total, 101 Ambiences offers a wealth of material for your projects.
Get a large selection of ambiences recorded in parks, residential areas, playgrounds and other urban areas with this SFX library. Recorded with discrete Quad microphones, and mastered in 5.1 surround (L-C-R-Ls-Rr-Lf Embeded .WAV format).
Recording locations are all from center perspective – in the middle of a park or residential area, to create the widest possible sound. A stereo version of each cue is included as well as embedded metadata. Most tracks are 2-3 minutes.
Swipes & Whooshes sound library is a collection of different air-cutting sounds emitted by everyday objects flying at high speed.
It can be a great and handy tool in designing more complex sound effects for games, like weapons sound effects or game user interface.
Everything was recorded with high-quality equipment, able to capture frequencies well above 20kHz, so it’s a very flexible material when it comes to stretching or pitch shifting.
66 stereo ORTF files features 1841 sound effects, cause each recording contains different variations of the same activity. The total length of the files is 35 minutes.
As for the post processing, everything was edited and mastered. Editing came down to removing unwanted sounds between takes, and mastering to removing harsh sounding frequencies, compressing and setting everything on level that is comfortable to work with, so you don’t have to constantly adjust the levels while looking for specific sound.
Get almost 5 hours of sounds of Sicily, Italy – captured at various locations during different times of the day. The library features sounds of both empty and crowded streets. Mornings and nights sounded different from siesta time, that’s why I’ve recorded streets during all those times.
Another location was a fish market recorded in the morning, during most intense moments.
Other files covers the traffic on the streets full of honking scooters, barking dogs and just cars passing by.
In addition to the recordings from Trapani, you’ll find sound of the airports, not only in Italy but also in Poland, which contains both Polish and Italian walla.
Walla sounds varies from ones with a lot of people talking from different directions, to more narrow ones, with small groups speaking from one place. Most of the recordings are not that easy to distinguish, but there are also files where you can hear very clearly every word.
Italy – Sicilian Ambients features 36 WAV files, recorded with two 8040s plugged into Sound Devices 702 and Sony PCM-M10 portable recorder. The total length of the files is 321 minutes.

As a bonus there are lots of open field oil shale mining sounds, with heavy machinery.

Harbours Of Norway sound library features 25 files with ambients recorded in Myre, Sto and Nyksund, very small towns with direct access to the sea. Most of the sound effects were recorded at night, but since it’s a polar day time of the year, it was very pleasurable to walk and look for convenient places to set up my gear. Everything was recorded with an ORTF setup built from two Sennheisers MKH 8040.
Inside this library, you’ll find a lot of seagulls, waves crushing on the rocks and plants, windy ambients from the cliff, industrial sound from port in Myre with ship unloading the cargo, walla with steam engine boats and additional sounds from the boat engine market, and air cooling aggregates from food containers.
Every file was recorded in 96kHz, edited (I removed any unintentional bumps, pops and unwanted sounds). I limited EQing to removing harsh frequencies, or enhancing a little bit the good sounding ones. At the end of the chain there is a small compression, for louder sounds.
Wood Impacts features a large number of organic-sounding wooden crunches, impacts, metal+wood clashes and wood fiber explosions.
The sounds are organized into 10 different categories such as Hits, Movements, Digs, Cracks, Mangles – giving you lots of great and versatile material for your sonic arsenal!

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
