  • Train Sound Effects Railway Rides: Sri Lanka Play Track 67 sounds included, 80 mins total $13

Railway Rides: Sri Lanka is a thorough collection of 67 high-quality railway-related sounds, a bulk of which were curated from a 5 hour train journey through Sri Lanka’s Coastal line from Ahangama to Colombo.

The main interior train recordings are from an S9 diesel-electric multiple unit (DMU) train, which has all the clacking-characteristics you’d expect from a less modern open windowed train.

The 67 sounds included cover all major aspects of train travel and station activity, from exterior pass-bys and the bustling platforms of Ahangama and Colombo station, to the clattering and rocking interiors of the train itself at various speeds and stages in the journey. File lengths range from 6 second pass-by’s to lengthy 14 minute interiors.

Each sound has been precisely edited and labelled to represent the specific speed, dynamics and stage of the journey to allow for easier cutting in the edit. Some sounds are also labelled with differing levels of walla and background chatter, some having clearly localised dialogues with others being indistinct or at times not present at all.

The library was captured using a Stereo matched pair of Clippy EM272Z1 mics into a Zoom F3 recorder recorded at 96khz/32bit and is available at 96khz/24bit.

Our personal favourite sound in this library is

TRNClak_Short Train Horn And Pass By Loud Carriage Clack Sounds Medium Speed With Crossing Warning Bell Exterior_Decal Audio_RailwayRidesSriLanka

Simply because of the memory recording this sound and how (scarily) close I was able to get to the train and the track. The power and sound I felt when stood by the tracks is truly captured in the recording!

This library provides an authentic auditory experience of Sri Lankan and south asian train travel, making it an ideal resource for enhancing films, video games, and other creative productions with realistic and evocative railway sounds.

  • Once again by listening to suggestions from you, the developers, the following format was decided as the most beneficial for each spell: Cast, Shoot, Loop, Target Hit. We also included a lot of Buffs, some De-Buffs, and a few Spawn sounds.

The beauty of this pack is that you can even mix the elements from different spell types to create your own. There is no right or wrong in a fantasy world! If you read a bit more below, I’ll provide some good tips to make the most of this pack. This pack can be used for video projects where magic is needed as well, it’s not strictly made for games of course.

    WHAT DO THE ACTIONS MEAN?

    • Cast: This action can happen for example before shooting the spell. You can make the cast longer by using the Loops provided until it’s time to shoot the spell.
    • Loops: Our 40 loops provided are top-notch quality with seamless transitions. They are not strictly bounded by a spell type. They are useful right after the spell Cast, or even after the Target Hit where they can linger a bit until they fade out.
    • Shoots: For the sound of a launched spell, we use the Shoot action. Shoots don’t have any impact characteristics, which is why in the moment of connection we use Target Hit.
    • Target Hit: This is triggered when your spell hits the target. Strong impact characteristics with fast attack time.
    • Buffs and De-Buffs: These can be activated by a spell, or however you want them to appear. They are not spell-type bound and can be used in any way that you need.
    • Spawns: A few bonus sounds good for spawning enemies.

    USEFUL TIPS:

    • You really only need 2 things to connect your actions smoothly, and those are Fade-Ins and Fade-Outs. Depending on their curve, you’ll get different results. For example, if you want to use a Loop with your Cast, trigger them at the same time but give the Loop a long Fade-In, so that it comes to the first plan right as the Cast sound goes down. At the same time that your Target Hit starts, initiate a steep Fade-Out on the Shoot SFX. It all depends on what you need for your game of course.
    • Play with the overall volume of the Loops if necessary. I found that lowering the volume of the Loop makes it blend much better with the rest of the Actions when used in the context of spells.
    • Use Loops, Spawns, or other actions to create Portal sounds!
    • Mix Shoots and Target Hits with your Sword and other melee weapons to give them magic properties.
    • Experiment and create different arrangements, with actions from different spell types.

  • The idea behind this pack is straightforward but incredibly effective. You can easily mix our ‘default strike’ sounds with your chosen ‘layer’ sounds, and they will sound great together. This works because all our ‘default’ and ‘layer’ sounds are perfectly synchronized. You don’t need to adjust their timing; they naturally fit together. Feel free to get creative with different sound combinations and optionally adjust the volume of each layer to create your desired strike sound.

We also offer a variety of swing sounds that can be helpful. We recommend triggering swings slightly before the actual strike for the best results, depending on your visuals.

  • The research and work were enormous for this sound effect pack! By listening to suggestions from the developers, the following format was used for each monster and creature: Idle, Charge, Target Hit, Hurt, and Death. Depending on how many variations these have, we divided them into Simple, Basic, and Advanced categories. Suitable not only for games but for cinematic video projects too.

    ALL Sounds Preview

    WHAT’S INCLUDED?

    • 13 Advanced M&C: 3X Idle, 3X Charge, 3X Target Hit, 3X Hurt, and 2X Death.
    • 7 Basic M&C: 2X Idle, 2X Charge, 2X Target Hit, 2X Hurt, and 1X Death.
    • 10 Simple M&C: 1X Idle, 1X Charge, 1X Target Hit, 1X Hurt, and 1X Death.
    • 12 Monsters and Creatures SPAWN sounds.

    WHAT DO THE ACTIONS MEAN?

    • Idle: The basic sound when the monster is undisturbed.
    • Charge: When the monster attacks! This does not mean that the attack hits the player of course (If the player dodges for example), which is why there are no strong impact layers in the Charge sound effects.
    • Target Hit: This action is used when the monster hits the player. It is shorter than Charge, with a strong impact.
    • Hurt: This can be triggered when the monster takes damage. The impact is very subtle in Hurt sounds so that it wouldn’t clash with the player’s weapon of choice sound effect.
    • Death: The sound of the final blow when the creature dies.

    USEFUL TIPS:

    • Make use of the multiple variations in the Basic and Advanced categories. By randomly rotating between the variations, you increase the realism and avoid the machine gun effect. This is perfect for creatures that appear a lot in the game, or in large groups. Our Simple category has no variations, but it’s great for occasional encounters. Of course, there are no rules here!
    • When the monster or creature attacks, you can use the Charge action. If the attack connects, trigger a Target Hit sound. Charge and Target Hit sounds overlap well, but you can experiment further by fading out the Charge sound when the Target Hit kicks in.
    • You can trigger Spawn and Idle sounds at the same time for a cool effect!
    • If your monster (Humanoid for example) has a weapon, layering it over Charge, or Target Hit sounds can give great results.
    • As mentioned before, there are no rules set in stone here. You can mix actions from different creatures to make your own creations.
    • It’s all about triggering these sounds at the right time in relation to each other, or in relation to other sound effects that you use. Sometimes they won’t match your visuals perfectly right out of the box, but that’s where you need to tweak everything patiently until you get what you need, and the results will be amazing.
