Cello Textures IÂ is the first volume in our “Textures” series, where we bring you sound effects from orchestral instruments played in unconventional and interesting ways.
This unique collection features various textural effects performed by the Cello, including open and natural harmonics, bow overpressure, bowing with wood, circular bowings and delicate flautandos.
The sounds in this product are dark, intense and foreboding, and are perfect for use in genres such as horror, thriller, mystery and psychological.
You can use the sounds in this library to create full original soundscapes, or simply drag and drop in sounds as “one-shots” or “sweeteners” to enhance your film/game music.
All sounds in this library are at 96kHz 24 Bit to allow for further manipulation and design, and have been tagged with detailed UCS metadata to fit smoothly into your production workflow.
The original 1957 Jeep model Hotchkiss from the French army was used during the Algeria conflict during the 50’s/60’s.
It was meticulously recorded in 96 khz 24 bits for high quality. This collection includes more than 2 hours of recordings in 432 audio files. The audio files are in stereo and UCS compatible.
The sound pack contains engine and exhaust recordings, rev, idle, acceleration, deceleration, constant rpm loops on onload and offload, passby, brake, handbrake, horn, hood closing and opening, belt movements, fuel injection button press, gas tank opening and much more.
The original IL4 cylinders engine produces a very unique sound. That will be a perfect fit for any old school military jeep in your project.
The collection includes mixed and raw files for more flexibility.

(I will upload the making-off video soon)
All this sounds were originally recorded with a Zoom H6 (cardiod microphone), and were edited in Logic Pro X, almost no processing was made, it was mainly editing the recorded material but also I used the plugin “Phaseplant” as a sampler.
Some considerations
1. Keep in mind this sounds can be used in a variety of situations, I put a name to the SFX but this doesn’t mean it can’t be used in other contexts.

Railway Rides: Sri Lanka is a thorough collection of 67 high-quality railway-related sounds, a bulk of which were curated from a 5 hour train journey through Sri Lanka’s Coastal line from Ahangama to Colombo.
The main interior train recordings are from an S9 diesel-electric multiple unit (DMU) train, which has all the clacking-characteristics you’d expect from a less modern open windowed train.
The 67 sounds included cover all major aspects of train travel and station activity, from exterior pass-bys and the bustling platforms of Ahangama and Colombo station, to the clattering and rocking interiors of the train itself at various speeds and stages in the journey. File lengths range from 6 second pass-by’s to lengthy 14 minute interiors.
Each sound has been precisely edited and labelled to represent the specific speed, dynamics and stage of the journey to allow for easier cutting in the edit. Some sounds are also labelled with differing levels of walla and background chatter, some having clearly localised dialogues with others being indistinct or at times not present at all.
The library was captured using a Stereo matched pair of Clippy EM272Z1 mics into a Zoom F3 recorder recorded at 96khz/32bit and is available at 96khz/24bit.
Our personal favourite sound in this library is
TRNClak_Short Train Horn And Pass By Loud Carriage Clack Sounds Medium Speed With Crossing Warning Bell Exterior_Decal Audio_RailwayRidesSriLanka
Simply because of the memory recording this sound and how (scarily) close I was able to get to the train and the track. The power and sound I felt when stood by the tracks is truly captured in the recording!
This library provides an authentic auditory experience of Sri Lankan and south asian train travel, making it an ideal resource for enhancing films, video games, and other creative productions with realistic and evocative railway sounds.

Introducing our Sword Magic pack, a perfect complement to our flagship offerings like Sword and Savage Steel. This pack was crafted with the intention of infusing a touch of magical charm into your finishing moves! Included in this package are Power Ready sounds, designed to notify you when your special magic attack is primed and ready. To wield its power, simply initiate one of our Swings followed by a Magic Blade Slash to unleash a formidable magical melee attack.
While some of our sounds feature subtle distinctions, they are crucial for creating a lifelike experience and preventing noticeable repetition in fast-paced combat scenarios.
Once again by listening to suggestions from you, the developers, the following format was decided as the most beneficial for each spell: Cast, Shoot, Loop, Target Hit. We also included a lot of Buffs, some De-Buffs, and a few Spawn sounds.
The beauty of this pack is that you can even mix the elements from different spell types to create your own. There is no right or wrong in a fantasy world! If you read a bit more below, I’ll provide some good tips to make the most of this pack. This pack can be used for video projects where magic is needed as well, it’s not strictly made for games of course.
WHAT DO THE ACTIONS MEAN?
USEFUL TIPS:
Low-price. High-quality. Essential.
An essential collection of 200 tool sounds, including chainsaws, circular saws, drills, trimmers, lawn mowers, strimmers and more!
Each sound was created at 96kHz / 24-bit stereo and is fully compatible with the Universal Category System (UCS) – a public domain initiative establishing a standardized category list for the classification of sound effects.
Note: All of these sounds (and more!) are included in the 96 General Library (get 3,000+ SFX for FREE!)
The ambience loops provided in this pack can cover much ground for your medieval fantasy game, or your cinematic video project. The soundscapes were designed using multiple layers of high-quality recordings, with various effects and post-processing to give the depth and realism needed for any sound system. You can use these soundscapes as a subtle background over which you can place music and SFX of your choice, or on their own.
The idea behind this pack is straightforward but incredibly effective. You can easily mix our ‘default strike’ sounds with your chosen ‘layer’ sounds, and they will sound great together. This works because all our ‘default’ and ‘layer’ sounds are perfectly synchronized. You don’t need to adjust their timing; they naturally fit together. Feel free to get creative with different sound combinations and optionally adjust the volume of each layer to create your desired strike sound.
We also offer a variety of swing sounds that can be helpful. We recommend triggering swings slightly before the actual strike for the best results, depending on your visuals.
The research and work were enormous for this sound effect pack! By listening to suggestions from the developers, the following format was used for each monster and creature: Idle, Charge, Target Hit, Hurt, and Death. Depending on how many variations these have, we divided them into Simple, Basic, and Advanced categories. Suitable not only for games but for cinematic video projects too.

This Collection of Room Tones contains Recordings made in empty, abandoned old Buildings and Medieval Ruins. Unsettling Draft Sounds from different perspectives. Wind Gusts heard from inside, Wind Storm echoing in old Chapels or Church, eerie humming inside abandoned spaces, Tonal Draft creating creepy atmospheres… Over 2,5 hours of Urbex type ambiences, containing long files and loops for easy use and variety. Recorded in stereo inside and outside interesting, and secret places, which is a rule for urban exploring ;-)
These are not common Room Tones with only presence of a silent room, but more ambiences that are suited for games/movie where characters are supposed to be in shelter, in abandoned places, in castles, dungeons, prisons, machine rooms etc. Cracks, moving structures, rattling objects are left in purposely to really have a detailed and convincing setting for game, documentary or any visual content. Best is to keep the volume low enough to not overdo the atmosphere.
Care is taken to not have any disturbing human traffic in the recordings, so these will fit for most time periods and geographic locations.
This exclusive sound library presents 15 meticulously captured soundscapes recorded deep within the pristine Amazon rainforest during 1995 and 1996. The first expedition, conducted in the municipality of São Félix do Xingu, Pará, utilized the legendary Nagra IV-STC analog recorder. The second expedition, in the Adolpho Duck Forest Reserve, Manaus, Amazonas, employed a portable setup consisting of the pristine AD261 mixer and the HHB Professional Portadat PDR-1000TC. These recordings offer an unparalleled and transparent representation of the Amazon’s rich biodiversity at a time when the region was largely untouched.
Each continuous track, ranging from 3 to 16 minutes, provides an immersive auditory experience of the rainforest’s natural soundscapes. Carefully remastered at 96kHz/24bit, these recordings preserve the original audio quality. Discover the intricate symphony of crickets, the exotic melodies of birdsong, the strident calls of cicadas, and the unique singing of the majestic macaws all captured in their natural habitat.
Organized using the UCS system for easy navigation, this library is an invaluable resource for sound designers, filmmakers, and anyone seeking authentic and high-quality natural sounds.

A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
