“Summer in the fields – Crickets and cicadas” is the right Library if you are trying to create a natural sound scenario during the summer.
The library contains over 8.4 GB which exceeds 1.43 hours and a total of 30 files of high-quality material in discrete 5.0 surround format.
Atmospheres ready to be combined with other elements to create the right sound for the image you are working on.
The Library was built in Europe – Italy, in the Lazio countryside. Between the end of May and the beginning of September and the sultry heat is audible in the recordings.
The squealing of cicadas is a fundamental sound element to design the sound of a warm and dry outdoor environment.
At night the crickets are beautiful.
Each place has its crickets that emit sounds at different rates and frequencies.
Agitated, calm, psychedelic, relaxing …
Crickets are a fundamental element to create an emotional night scene.
Other animals are obviously present in the recordings; morning birds, owls, crows, geese, insects and bees, chickens, etc.
The registered natural fields are near lakes, rivers, chicken coops/farms, country houses, woods and cultivated fields.
The large part of the files have not human elements like traffic or agricular sounds, other ones have some distant traffic and are pretty for contemporary countryside.
Berlin Ambiances II is 115 minutes / 3,7 GB of pure Berlin in 32 separate files – recorded in 24 Bit / 96 kHz A-B stereo, with Primo EM172 omni capsules. All files are UCS-compliant.
This collection is focused on lively locations such as markets, museums, playgrounds and shops, and features several takes from each location (in most cases). I wanted the sound of Berliners more than anything else, so here are sounds from Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Mitte. Whether it’s drunks on Alexander Platz or the lunch crowd in Markthalle 9, I tried to capture a good spectrum of public, everyday life in Berlin.
As always, you get searchable file names and comprehensive metadata in CSV and ODS (OpenOffice) format. This allows you to import the metadata into your favorite librarian software.
You get:
We’ve dug deep into the circuit paths of electronic equipment using signal tracers to scan and record electronic noise and electromagnetic fields (EMF) emanating from electronic equipment.
This third installment in a series of three sound libraries focuses on the elements of power sources with noise drones of electrical power, 60Hz cycle hum, dirty ground buzz with static, glitch, pops, snaps, crackles & electronic interference including low-end & pulsing frequencies.
Zombie Specimens contains a wide variety of zombie growls, groans and vocalisations straight from the zombie testing lab. We captured and designed voices from multiple actors to bring you these effects all in 24Bit 96kHz, allowing for further manipulation.

Here are the included zombies:
Zombie Specimen CZ003: This zombie was partially decapitated in an attempt to stop the virus from spreading. Expect throaty growls with lots of character.
Zombie Specimen RK576: A more typical zombie, that was an average-sized test subject who escaped from the lab.
Zombie Specimen TX009: An aggressive zombie who often has a breathy and dynamic sound.
Zombie Specimen UT405: A heavier zombie who couldn’t escape in time before the virus spread.
Zombie Specimen WQ349: An aging zombie scientist who got locked in the lab during the outbreak, he sounds tired and weak.
Zombie Specimen YP555: One of the first infected zombies, YP555 has the highest dose of the virus, and sounds crazy and sporadic.

The “Cedar” library series is a collection of libraries, comprised of three different instruments:
– Ponticello (the present one)
– Sul Tasto
– Bizzarro
Each volume is a single Kontakt instrument with a peculiar timbral personality. The entire series is created recording sounds from a luthier classical guitar. They can be used for composing and producing purposes – like an acoustic percussion setup – as well as for soundtrack composition and sound design in films, video games and any other multimedia product. “Ponticello” and “Sul Tasto” also feature a dedicated effects page that can be used to process the sounds in the library with several processors, both send and insert effects. They are “percussion oriented” sounds, while “Bizzarro” is a keyboard instrument.
Introduction to “Ponticello”
The instrument contains 10 sets of sounds, called “Engines”. Each set has a dedicated channel strip in the interface and can be processed with a dedicated sub-page. You can also choose an individual audio output for further processing in your favorite DAW with effect plugins of your choice. Each sound has been recorded with two different mic placements, and you can mix them to your taste.
Haunting Ambiences contains dense, multilayered horror construction kits. Everything you need to build a world around your scenes with separated stems. We captured and designed field recordings from multiple countries, voices, instruments and synthesizers all in 24Bit 96kHz allowing for further manipulation.
These dense ambiences include split stems to encourage experimentation, allowing you to add or subtract certain elements, balance them or combine them with sounds from other construction kits in the pack. Perfect for your horror films, video games or escape room/live experiences.
Here are the included Construction Kits:
Haunted Factory: Moving gears, pipe bursts and the deafening buzz of industrial lighting.
Haunted Forest: Weird birds, crows, wolves, owls, tree creaks and much more!
Haunted House: Distinct creaks of a wooden building under a bed of creepy winds and clocks.
Haunted Neighbourhood: Dog barks, crickets and clocktowers sit above layered crickets and streetlights.
Haunted Sewers: Build a wet and dripping scene with flowing water and more distinct drips echoing through.
Haunted Swamp: Misty wind, bugs and water splashes suggest an evil presence, combined with frogs and more!
Nightmare: A discomforting array of voices, hums, and rumbles.
Zombie Apocalypse: A crowd of Zombies are taking over the city, breaking into anything they can find.
Torture Chamber: A deep and surreal ambience with screams, drills, tools and other torturous sounds.
• In Curious Bears, get an inquisitive collection of sniffs and snorts from the grizzlies of the Alaskan wilderness. Leave a microphone alone in the woods and hear curious bear’s energetic investigations. Hear aggressive sniffs and slow panting breaths. Hear massive footsteps in the mossy and leafy ground. Hear smacking lips and aggressive sniffs as a grizzly decides whether or not to eat my microphones.
• This library offers you a small collection of sounds from a wild animal. These are the curious sounds of a happy and healthy wild bear, not the sad sounds of a sad animal confined to a cage at a zoo.
2% FOR THE ENVIRONMENT & CARBON NEUTRAL:
• Two percent of the price of this library is donated to an environmental cause, as an “artist royalty” for the planet!
• Carbon offset credits were purchased to offset my field recording travel for this library.

This library is a great collection of sounds of DOORS, furniture, windows, gates, sinks, drawers and curtains of the domestic type.
The library focuses on various types of homes/environments: poor/rustic house, elegant or contemporary, rural.
Or based on the period: 80s / 90s – 60s and 40s.
– Different perspectives: many files are double, a “Close Perspective – XY” file
and a second file recorded distant and off-axis named “Distant Perspective – ORTF”
– Different actions, slowly, quickly, slamming doors, creaking, knocking, rattling, moving the door on the carpet.
Everything, or almost everything, has an action of opening and closing inside a house,
has been added to provide a very valid “Doors and furnitures” multitool:
Drawers, windows, curtains, cabinets, shutters, light switches, faucets, water flush, plastic panel, electrical panel, Cupboard and wardrobe, ovens, microwave… and household props.
recorded from various perspectives and always with different intensities – from delicate to hard.
Some doors are designed as a layer to be edited together with others. This allows you to have endless combinations available that can make you able to create the right “opening and closing doors” for your project.
Gear used:
– Schoeps cmc mk41 XY – Close Perspective
– Oktava mk01 – ORTF Distant Perspective
The Leaf Blower sound library features recordings of air blowing engine machine. 14 activities were recorded from 4 different perspectives (in sync), which gives 56 files in total.
Recorded activities: turning on/off the blower, idle, gas pressing, steady rpms, rpm loops, ramps, normal usage stationary, normal usage while walking.
Recorded perspectives: onboard engine (3 microphones), external: front wide stereo XY, mono, side wide stereo XY.
Not looking for eerie, creepy, glitchy, droney, moody, cinematic, terrific, dark or bright roomtones? You just need regular roomtones to mix with dialogue and/or to fill in a scene? Regular Roomtones provides just that; regular boring ass roomtones, meticulously edited to loop seamlessly!
The roomtones have been collected over a few years, recorded in different locations wherever I happened to be that day. The filenames have the recording location in them, but the sounds can, of course, be used for other locations as well.
The files have been normalized to be between 35-40 LUFS and will in most cases need to be turned down in volume. The files are 24 Bit and 48 kHz, some mono some stereo, all of them with embedded metadata.
The Nissan Qashqai I 1.6 sound library features 81 high quality files recorded with a multi mic setup.
The engine was recorded in sync with cabin interior ambients, and you can expect different styles of driving – from casual city driving, through accelerations on a highway up to rpm ramps and constant rpm loops for game audio.
In addition to engine recordings, this sound effects library features exterior passes, whooshes and other road related sounds recorded in mono and stereo. Last but not least, different foley-type recordings covering exterior and interior sound effects.
A collection of fine bleeps and bloops from two vintage toy synthesizers, a Major Morgan and a Stylophone.
Both synths were modified to coax some more unusual/interesting sounds out of them and the library includes some bonus designed sounds to give some inspiration to designers for the direction these sounds could be pushed in.
All sounds contain extensive metadata in both soundminer proprietary format and broadcast wave format to make finding these sounds and getting them into your project as easy as possible!
Volkswagen Passat 1.9 TDI is our new library. This time we recorded this classic car with several mics all around!

Baltic Quad Surroundings captures the urban sounds of Riga city and its adjacent suburban and rural areas, located in the Baltics, Northern Europe. A Quadraphonic library for your next surround work. Takes are approximately 4 to 5 minutes long or even longer, so that should cover the majority of movie scenes. Please listen to the stereo samples, or download the Quad samples to hear full potential of these recordings here: Quad Recordings Demo
Since this is our first release, we are also adding a free bonus micro library with quad recordings of passing trains that we encountered during the recording sessions. Enjoy!
Recorded with a spaced Quadraphonic omni setup.
The recordings were done in early spring when vegetation has not yet grown leaves, to avoid unnecessary noise pollution. Some recordings are made at night to keep bird activity to a minimum.
This is the first library that results from a steady need for authentic and realistic surround backgrounds.
The most common problem we have with surround sound libraries is that they are too exotic, or have too much activity. So, we took matters into our own hands and started to explore different surround recording techniques. Our recordings can be used as a surround soundscape “beds” or layers. This allows controlled additions of other elements to build up the scene and keep the viewer’s focus on the storyline.
The goal was to record diffused sound field atmospheres and that is where a spaced Quadraphonic Omni setup shines. Human hearing does not rely only on level differences across the frequency spectrum – in fact, our auditory system heavily relies on the difference of sound wave arrival time to each ear. This is especially important with frequencies below 800 hertz.
So spaced microphones result in more believable sound field recordings than point source recording techniques like MS or other compact systems. The phase is also not an issue, it even decreases as microphones get placed even further apart. The only downside to this technique is the big and bulky rig and that it requires individual wind protection for each microphone.
Our future goal is to add a dedicated center channel to the recording rig and to start building up way bigger and more sophisticated libraries. Stay tuned for future releases!

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
