The Sphere of Sound is a 3D Spatial Audio Production Studio from Groningen in The Netherlands. Founded in 2017 by Jelmer Althuis, The Sphere of Sound is producing spatial audio environments, using original Ambisonics recordings, music production, and sound design.
Using innovative techniques and years of experience in the audio production industry, combined with the knowledge of our hearing TSOS creates telepresence for immersive media.

The services and sounds of TSOS are being used for applications in eHealth, Gaming, Virtual Reality, Business, Musea, Events, Art Routes, and Entertainment and have already been used in over 100 imaginary aural worlds in a number of amazing and mindful experiences that left an indelible impression and helped people feeling better. TSOS wants to contribute by making spatial audio the next standard and therefore selling high-quality first-order ambisonic packages, so everyone is able to create WoW-moments, telling captivating stories with sound and helping projects with the power of spatial audio.

Ambisonic and Binaural Audio
These sounds have been recorded with a calibrated Sennheiser AMBEO VR Microphone and a Sound Devices Mixpre6II recorder.
The raw A-format files have been encoded to B-Format AmbiX with VVEncode and the personal calibration files for the used AMBEO mic, calibrated by Core-Sound LLC, for the most natural-sounding Ambisonic files possible.
No processing except very little Ambisonic EQ-ing has been done.
The B-format AmbiX files can be easily converted and be used for Dolby Atmos, Object-based or any Surround channel-based format with plug-ins like Harpex-X, or the free Soundfield Plugin.
The Binaural files have been binauralized using Harpex-X with HRTF-set: KU100.

This library is UCS compliant. All files contain extensive metadata which can de read and processed by the most common audio libraries management systems.

A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
