An 800cc metal beast growls past you… What’s that?! It’s Flysound’s latest drop: the Ducati Scrambler Café Racer 2019 model, the sound library that is. Driven on asphalt both in an autodrome and then in city centre traffic, we’ve recorded this great bike with Neumann U 87 and Sennheiser MKH 416 mics, from all the angles you’ll need, at all the speeds you’ll want. The two-valve purr and roar has been catalogued riding, braking, accelerating, and doing cool maneuvers. If your project needs top audio for a motorbike, go on, speed into a new surprise.
A lite and mixed version of this suite is also included, comprising 14 authentic stereo files, designed, mixed, and studio packaged on best-of-breed equipment for simpler tasks which would have a preference for a package of ready made stock sounds of the Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer.
Sirens wail! Authentic police, fire brigade, and ambulance siren systems, captured and catalogued for media production use. The recordings were made at distances ranging from 1.5 to 5 meters. Each siren has several subtypes of sound. For all of life’s emergencies, within are the sounds that signal. Neumann U 87 microphones were used for the recordings.
Iconic military truck recorded from all sides and at various distances. There are slow, medium and fast drive-bys, departures and arrivals. The interior was recorded quadraphonically. The exhaust system was taped, as was the engine from under the hood. Microphones used were the Neumann U87, Sennheiser MKH 70, Sennheiser MKH 416, Violet Design’s ‘Amethyst’, and the Schoeps CMC MK4. Also recorded were the doors, gas pedal, wipers, gearbox and ventilation system of this general-purpose off-road beast.
A lite and mixed version of this suite is also included, comprising 19 authentic stereo files, designed, mixed, and studio packaged on best-of-breed equipment for simpler tasks which would have a preference for a package of ready made stock sounds of Ural 4320
Attention petrol heads and sound producers! FLYSOUND brings you the sound library for the BMW 520i, 1990 model. This classic ‘boomer/beemer’ (depending on your culture’s pronunciation of course) has been recorded with our top-class Neumann, Schoeps, and Sennheiser microphones, revving through a full range of speeds, including top speed. We also recorded it drift! For all relevant projects, enjoy.
The Siemens Desiro is a high-speed train that is an engineering marvel and a staple of modern high-grade national and transcontinental rail transport, with various versions zipping across the UK, the EU, and the far reaches of Asia including China. This is a train capable of 160 kilometres per hour (100 mph), it is the high-speed joiner of distant big cities. For our recording project, we captured it across a comprehensive range of its speeds. Sennheiser Ambeo microphones were used throughout.
Recordings were made inside carriages, inside a compartment, down gangways, across the ever-dramatic space connecting railcar vestibules, and also less glorified but vital locations, e.g., the loo. All relevant background sounds are there, including door movements, passenger chatter, objects in motion, and the sounds of the restaurant car. For the characteristic sounds of a great ‘iron horse’, inside and out, this is it.
Flysound… Putting the ‘track’ into soundtrack!
The car is a beast and we recorded it in all its beastliness, at varying speeds from its soft metal purr to its ferocious roar, on the test track, inside and out, with all the very best equipment.
From many angles, we used the following microphones: Interior – Neumann U 87 and Sennheiser Ambeo; Engine – Schoeps CMC6 MK4, Neumann KM 184; Exhaust pipes – Electro Voice ND 868, DPA fastening; Outside points – Sennheiser MKHs 70 & 416, and also again the Neumann U 87. If your project needs the sound of a great car, recorded in a great way, get it here.
A lite and mixed version of this suite is also included, comprising 17 authentic stereo files for simpler tasks which would have a preference for a package of ready made stock sounds of BMW 760i.
Tank T-44: The great hulking mass that would spell doom for the Red Army’s enemies has been captured in all its glory trudging along, with every turn of its metal treads and gears recorded masterfully.
The sound capture equipment used were best-in-breed Neumann U 87 and Schoeps M4 microphones, and the tank’s authoritative rumbles and clangs were recorded from various positions, and at various speeds as the treads grip the ground and transfer the power of its mighty engine, transmission, and parts. There are also stereo recordings for the tank’s engine and the tank’s exhaust pipe.
We at Flysound have dusted off the cobwebs and taken this 30 tonne beast for several victory laps to record its belligerent brilliance. The T-44: one of the great patriotic tanks! In a time when action productions are all to often devolving into the fake and unrealistic, this sound package is an authentic antidote of epic proportions.
A lite and mixed version of this suite is also included, comprising 15 authentic stereo files, designed, mixed, and studio packaged on best-of-breed equipment for simpler tasks which would have a preference for a package of ready made stock sounds of the T-44.

Shooting was recorded at the outdoor range, with additional handling foley taken at the studio. Our mic-ing and capturing process has been intricate enough to give you all the sound versatility you’ll need for use in a fully dynamic project, and also for the ability for these sounds to pass for not just authentic Mosin fire, but also for a generic bolt-action internal magazine-fed ‘old rifle’ sound.
Also included are several pre-designed mixed sounds for quick-use without additional mixing needed. Our comprehensive library of this WW1, WW2, and freedom fighting classic weapon stands ready to fire!

“Ice Fury by Flysound” is a sound library of ice breaking to pieces in as full a variety of ways as possible. This is a thesaurus of the various ways ice gets undone, with blasts and crashes as well as scrapes and swishes and cracks and splinters too.
Ice Fury is recorded on two superb ultra low-noise Neumann D-01 digital mics at 96k/24bit in a fantastic foley studio. Our equipment and processing make it ideal for downpitching and other tweaking to match your project.
The full range of 348 sounds from the ice is thanks to a spread of massive and moderate ice blocks, that have been obliterated by a variety of implements such as a kettle bell, saws, picks, bars, drills, and a bat! If your project involves the sound of frozen water, allow us to break the ice…

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
