Sound effects libraries where the file names and metadata follow the Universal Category System (UCS), championed by renowned sound supervisor Tim Nielsen & more
Vocal Dopplers Vol. 1 is a collection of stereo field-crossing pass-bys formed from vocal recordings. The included Dopplers feature an assortment of speeds, pitches and timbres, enabling you to unlock your creativity when designing the sound of your scenes.
Doppler effects are a form of acoustic illusion, caused by the changing frequency of a source’s sound wave as it moves away from or towards an observer. Due to the effect’s realistic imitation of physical movement, you can incorporate these Dopplers into your work to enhance the dimensionality and verisimilitude of objects.
To make this library, our Audio Craftsmen first captured a variety of vocal singing notes. These were then processed into Doppler effects varying in polar opposite tones. One batch contains positive, uplifting and mysterious, moving textures, while the second focusing on negative, darker and ominous textures. The resultant sounds are perfect for corporate, fantasy and magical sound design and other projects in the Film, TV & Game industries.
All sounds are delivered in 24-bit, 192kHz format, allowing for further sonic manipulation. They have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive, UCS-compliant metadata for ease.
This library was recorded in the beautiful cities of Madrid and Toledo in Spain. It includes unique sounds of bustling streets, charming cafes, historical landmarks, public transportation and more. Elevate your productions with the authentic and immersive sounds of these two Spanish cities, ranging from urban to suburban soundscapes.
Geophonic Instruments Vol. 6 is a continuation of our popular Geophonic library series. In this instalment, you can delve into a world dark and mysterious, with ominous rumbles, space engines, the deep sea, and alien song.
Our Audio Craftsmen used the Lom Geofon to capture subsonic frequencies of a kalimba and harmonica. The result is a collection of super weighty drones, rumbles, tones and impacts.
These sounds reach as low as 10Hz, providing a speaker-shaking energy to integrate into your work.
Use this library to intensify sci-fi, mystery, thriller and horror genres in your Film, TV & Game projects.
All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 192kHz format allowing further sonic manipulation and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.
Shepard Tones Vol. 1 features a number of mesmerizing auditory illusions, ready to be dropped straight into your projects or manipulated further into your sound design.
Shepard Tones are a unique sound effect that can be used to create a sense of continuous rising or falling in pitch. By combining different Shepard Tones together, you can create interesting and other-worldly sounds.
This collection features loopable Shepard tones, allowing you to create endless risers and downers, perfect for vehicle sound design or injecting tension into your film, trailer, TV, and game projects.
All sounds are delivered in 24-bit, 96kHz format, allowing for further sonic manipulation. They have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive, UCS-compliant metadata for ease.
A category-focused sound effects collection that includes a variety of basic car elements, light rail, trams, bus rides, and other basic car and transportation sounds. Over 100 separate WAV files recorded at 24bit, 96kHz or 48kHz.
Ambiences from London Part 1 – is the first sound collection that captures the sounds of the UK capital. Explore the soundscapes of iconic landmarks – Covent Garden, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Hill, and Southbank together with traffic and crowds that make this city unique. Some of the recordings were also made around Wimbledon Tennis Championship. Lastly, enjoy the city parks (Hampstead Heath, St James’s Park, Victoria Park, Green Park), art galleries (Tate Modern), restaurants and public transport (DLR, Charing Cross, Liverpool Street, London Bridge train stations).
The library was captured pre-lockdown and pre-Brexit. In comparison to the second sound collection (Ambiences from London Part 2), it is much livelier and busier, which is no surprise considering the declining number of office workers, immigrants and tourists.
Ambiences from London Part 1 is compliant with UCS (Universal Catalogue System) and recorded at high quality – 192kHz, 24bit.

Haunting Ambiences Vol. 4Â is the fourth instalment in one of our most popular series of horror sound effects libraries. This product contains dense, multi-layered construction kits, giving you the tools to craft harrowing atmospheres for your terrifying projects.
Our Audio Craftsmen recorded and designed unusual, unnerving sounds – including screaming voices, chair creaks, bangs, dripping water, bug movement and more – to elicit maximum unease in your audiences. The result is a series of construction kits comprising abandoned sewer, haunted living room, breeding chamber, ghost rider, engine room and eerie forest ambiences.

Sri Lanka Ambiances II was recorded in 2017 on the same trip that resulted in Sri Lanka Ambiances 1. This collection takes us inland, to the mountain town of Ella, and the larger city of Kandy.
Ella has some distinctive sounds; not least the train snaking it’s way slowly through the mountains, it’s whistle reverberating between them. I also recorded distant distant loudspeaker “chants” or recitals, which, as far as I could gather, was a part of the Poya-days – a Sri Lankan full moon holiday.
Another personal highlight is the recording of an office clerk working an old-school mechanical typewriter behind the blinds of a small office in Kandy.
All in all, here are plenty of general Sri Lankan ambiances featuring traffic, barking dogs, tweeting birds and buzzing insects, as well as bits and pieces of walla.
Bells From Hell Vol. 2 features even more designed bells – this time with a sci-fi synth flavour.
A collection of bell tones were captured in the field by Our Audio Craftsmen, who then applied unique methods of processing and manipulation to the raw recordings. The resulting sounds include modulated resonances, eerie distortions, alien screams, deep throbbing, metallic rings, harsh stingers, glitchy chimes and much more.
Use these intense, unnatural sounds to disturb the senses of your sci-fi and horror audiences.
Sounds have been separated into the following categories:
Aliens Bells:Â Otherworldly, indecipherable resonances produced by extra-terrestrial lifeforces.
Ambient Bells:Â Reverberant rings with a ghostly atmosphere.
Lo-Fi Bells:Â Distorted, musical hits filled with foreboding.
Sci-Fi Bells:Â Metallic echoes and tones of an infiltrated spaceship.

First, our Audio Craftsmen recorded subsonic frequencies, voices, water, impacts, household items, glass, paper, a gramophone and more. They then made a sonic U-turn and reversed them. All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 192kHz format allowing further sonic manipulation, and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.
Flesh, Bones & Gore Vol. 2 is the second instalment of 344 Audio’s hard-hitting gore sounds. This library features cringe-worthy bone crunches, voracious monster bites, and wet, textured tearing of flesh.
Using a selection of vegetables and fruit, our Audio Craftsmen performed and recorded unnerving, gory impacts intended to make audiences recoil. These were then edited for use in your horror-thriller projects and moments, including fight sequences, slasher attacks and creature transformations.
The library contains three folders:
Bone Crunches:Â Quick and drawn-out bone cracking.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!

I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
