From across his homeland in the Pacific Northwest and beyond Nick brings you Shore Waves. A curated collection of pristine water lapping, crashing, and thundering along diverse shorelines of lakes, coves, and oceans. This library is pure water and free of creature, human, or external sound (except in specific recordings noted in the title or description). Recorded over the years while walking beaches and lakes, these waves are carefully selected to be the most musical and dynamic. These sounds are captured from various perspectives, such as close-up recordings of small lapping water and wider recordings that express the ambiance of a choppy lake or distant beach.

Augment the spooky bog in your game with real sounds from drop rigs (portable recording setups) left in a wetland in the Pacific Northwest in the winter. Included are ambient sounds of rain and post rain in the wetland, as well as many animals such as Mallard Ducks, Canada Geese, Trumpeter Swans, Coyotes, Great Horned Owls, Wood Ducks and more. Also of particular interest are sounds of waterfowl flapping their wings and splashing in the water. Take a listen to the sample sounds and hear the benefit that the sound of nature, unprovoked and uninfluenced by human presence will bring to your game. Full metadata and UCS compliance allow you to find the sounds you need, when you need them.

Rivers, Streams, Brooklets, Creeks and Waterfalls recorded both above- and underwater.
Over the past five years I constantly recorded flowing water at every opportunity. This library includes a fine selection of diverse sounds emitted by running water. From alpine mountain rivers that rush after the snow melt, brooklets jumping over rocks, natural and human-made tunnels, bubbling watersteps in streams, rapids and riverwaves to plattering waterfalls, straight concrete waste water run and groaning and hissing natural brooks.
Some sounds are harsh and almost white noise, others are lovely and relaxing.
I mostly recorded at night, to keep the recordings free of bird, car or plane noise.
A broad spectrum of sounds to choose from for any film, game or audioplay scene, that needs WATRFlow. Bubbling, splattering, roaring, lively, hissing, talking and lapping murmur.

The essentials libraries contain special excerpts from the premium libraries, meaning the same attention was paid to quality in both. I am thrilled to be able to bring this journey together and share it with you here.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
