Cascadia: Shore Waves

Cinematic Waves Beaches Protected Inlets & Lakeshore

From across his homeland in the Pacific Northwest and beyond Nick brings you Shore Waves. A curated collection of pristine water lapping, crashing, and thundering along diverse shorelines of lakes, coves, and oceans. This library is pure water and free of creature, human, or external sound (except in specific recordings noted in the title or description). Recorded over the years while walking beaches and lakes, these waves are carefully selected to be the most musical and dynamic. Nearly entirely loopable, Shore Waves comes with extensive metadata and is UCS-compliant.

The focus of this collection is to include a variety of water wave sounds. A quiet lap on a sandy beach, tumbling rocks in the ocean shore break, rhythmic glugging along a rocky shore, building into the full cacophony of thundering ocean surf makes for a diverse library. These sounds are captured from various perspectives, such as close-up recordings of small lapping water and wider recordings that express the ambiance of a choppy lake or distant beach.

Additional SFX:
• Hydrophone in the sand creating a Thunderous Swooshing
• Naturally delayed pipes in the ocean creating strange popping verbed-out wave effects
Gear and Specs:
• Recorded with Sennheiser, Lom, and Audio Technica, microphones
• MixPre and Sony audio interfaces
