“The Animal Symphony – Lovebird” features a total of 118 high-quality audio recordings, each containing multiple sounds recorded (between 3 and 6 variations) with exceptional quality. Using two high-end microphones, the Sennheiser MKH 8050 and an EM258 capsule microphone, along with a Zoom H6 recorder to capture the stereo sound, we have managed to capture every detail and nuance of these natural sounds. Each recording was made at a 24-bit 192kHz and 96kHz sample rate, ensuring professional clarity and depth.
This collection offers a wide variety of lovebird sounds, perfect for adding realism and authenticity to your projects. With multiple takes and variations, including long calls, short calls and squawks, this library provides the flexibility needed for any type of production requiring these types of animal sounds.
All recordings have been carefully edited to remove any external noise, such as wind or people. Furthermore, thanks to the ultrasonic microphones used it is guaranteed that anyone who decides to lower the tone will continue to obtain frequency richness.

Every now and then an opportunity comes along that you just cannot pass up. The chance of going on a recording trip to Zimbabwe alongside someone who knows the area and many locals was exactly that.
I traveled to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe in August of 2023. As the dry season and the coldest time of year was still in full swing, the land is dry, and animals travel long distances to reach watering holes and rivers to drink. With the trees dried out and few insects in sight, the soundscape across the steppes is eerily quiet day and night, save for the large number of helicopters flying tourists around during the day.
Not only was it an utterly inspiring experience just taking in the beauty of nature and the warm spirits of the people I have met, it was also an exercise in navigating the challenges of anthropogenic noise becoming more prevalent around the globe. With this time of year being the height of tourism season, capturing the sounds of nature meant having to find pockets of silence to avoid the sounds of helicopters, safari trucks, and trains carrying coal.
By resorting to drop rigs, overnight recording, and getting up before sunrise to record, I captured a wide range of birds, mammals, and ambiences that will let you recreate the soundscapes of this vivid nation in your projects. Of course, I also had to capture the incredible majestic power of Victoria Falls’ namesake waterfalls, both in stereo and Ambisonic format.
A portion of the sales proceeds for this library will be donated to local conservation efforts including Painted Dog Rescue, African Wildlife Foundation, as well as CARE‘s efforts in providing food and nutrition security, climate resilient livelihoods, economic development, education, and water.

This diverse collection delivers 200 authentic sound effects of rodents, reptiles, and other small creatures in natural environments. From the quick rustles and high-pitched squeaks of rats, mice, and guinea pigs to the distinctive hisses, splashes, and movements of snakes, crocodiles, frogs, and more, Rodents & Reptiles Vol 2 captures a wide range of detailed wildlife recordings.
Sweeping my flashlight across the still water I see the red glow of multiple black caiman eyes, a haunting stillness. Suddenly a reverberating splash breaks the rhythmic chorus of frogs and crickets as a caiman finds its evening meal, the first of many tonight. Giving a greater sense of space to this Amazonian lake the eyes of the caiman go on glowing, waiting for an unsuspecting fish to pass their open mouths.
It is impossible to not be present in the rainforest. Surrounded by mysterious night vocalization, stinging, biting insects, and penetrating humidity. Gratitude fills me for the Cofan guides who have taken our small group of sound recordists deep into their wildest territory. Nearly a constant buzz fills the soundscape which takes a few days to adjust to, but as I do I start to notice the thrilling variety of calls. Near and distant, there is a spectacular spaciousness and an intimacy that can only come from this unique location.
This library of ambiences from the largest remaining oasis in the Mojave Desert where the highest concentration of endemic species in the United States can be found was recorded in the summer of 2023 during a week when daytime temperatures were breaking 120 degrees Fahrenheit, (49 degrees Celsius) and yet the recordings at each of the three locations are full of wildlife calls attesting to the resilience and adaptability of nature.
Great care and no small amount of time was spent identifying the birds and other wildlife in each recording and the calls have been tagged with metadata markers that appear in Soundminer as well as most DAWs to make it easier to know what you are hearing and when.
In this library you will find sounds include roars, pacings, growls, attacks, grunts, breaths, eating and others.
These sounds are perfect for use in movies, games, documentaries, etc.
These sounds were all designed with plugins.
After working these sounds in post production, this library comes with 300 incredible creatures and monsters sounds.

In this library you will find sounds of nature recorded during the afternoon near the city of Loulé, Algarve, Portugal.
After working these sounds in post-production, this library comes with 18 nature sounds.
This library mostly consists of isolated mammal, bird, amphibian & insect sounds from Europe recorded close up in nature or at rewilding shelters.
While all animals have been recorded in Germany, many inhabitat places all around the world, from Asia to Africa and America.
I already released three libraries with Eurasian animals and they are also available as a bundle with this library.
This library adds isolated recordings of animals that have not been very present in my other libraries of living creatures. I did record some big bugs (stag beetle, violet carpenter bee, maybug…), some bad-tempered european wildcats and rare birds (bald ibis, eagle owl, little owl…). Also I included lots of frog and toad recordings with species that are seldom heard nowadays as well as more common species. There is a couple of juvenile animals (nutria, mute swan, house sparrow,…) in here too.
It is a perfect library not only for nature documentaries or other realistic sound design, but as everything was captured in high sample rates up to 192kHz, it can be used as unique source sounds for dinosaurs, aliens, monsters, zombies, fictional animals and creatures or even for weird machines.
Some animals can not be fully represented by single sounds, so I added some nature ambiences, like a rich frog chrous or a busy flock of starlings.

A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
