“Infinite” specializes in dark drones, wide ambiances and thrilling textures that play with great depth and large stage.
Each of the 160 included samples was carefully handcrafted by treating various sources with a complex chain of hardware FX units. The resulting sounds can be used out of the box whenever it comes to the creation of impressive background layers or establishing otherworldly movie scenes.
The library contains two folders: North and South.
The sounds in the North folder still have trace elements of harmonic structures while the South folder provides textures without decent pitch.
All contained sounds have looppoints embedded so that they can play infinitely in the true sense of the word.
This is achieved best with the two additional Kontakt 4 instruments that have all sounds layered across the keyboard.
Nevertheless, the delivered WAV files can be loaded into any modern software sample with loop support.
Get 100+ sound effects of chain mail, plate armor, leather armor getting impacted in three different intensity layers (glancing, weak, hard) – ready for implementaion. It also includes shield impacts in two variants (weak, hard), as well as weapon parry and gory weapon impacts.
This pack also includes footsteps and movement sounds/rustles of chain mail, leather armor and plate armor.

‘Ice Skating’ is a very comprehensive library of 1000 audio files from the realm of ice skating.
It encompasses a broad variety of sounds using different skating techniques and features many ice skating activities such as hockey games, figure skating, free skating and more.
Most of the recordings have been made in an outdoor setting to reduce reverberations.
Almost all of the sounds were recorded using a M/S technique with AKG C-414 and Rode Nt5, and Sound Devices mixPre.
This library presents unique focused sounds that have been edited meticulously making them easier to integrate in any audiovisual project or interactive program.
The rare distinctive quality of these recordings also allows them to be a base for
any sound experimentation through a creative process; and can be layered with other sounds or treated in order to produce interesting sound design.
A couple of Ambiences are also included in the library. These are ORTF stereo recordings of outdoors/indoors skating.
Like every other sound library from Articulated Sounds, the files are embedded with metadatas (Soundminer/iXML/XMP/BWAV/ID3).
This library is a bit different from the rest. Dx (“Diagnostic”) is a grouping of different audiometric and audiological elements in a neat, diversified package. Our goal was to aggregate audio tests from multiple disciplines and build them into a one-stop-shop collection that most sound designers, engineers, researchers, and artists could utilize as a mainstay in their audio toolbox.
In this collection you will find sets of: binaural beats, audiometric sweeps, full frequency sweeps, multi-spectrum noise, spatializations, resonance tones, impulses, dynamics tests, intermodulated distortion tests, aliasing tests, phase tests, and a few fun examples just for kicks.
These diagnostic sounds are provided in 96kHz/24-bit, 48kHz/24-bit, and 44.1kHz/16-bit resolutions. There are various length and loudness combinations as well, so you don’t have to edit these files to use them for their intended tests. That being said, this diagnostic audio can also be used very quick and precise ways in layered SFX designs. Because they are so specific in their development, they can be used with an automatic mathematic disregard…and that, is a good thing.
Quick, clean, and precise. Enjoy.
Many years of trekking in the Dovre mountains (Dovrefjell) at heights from 900 to 1200 masl. and temperatures reaching down to -20°C, has led to many unique recordings.
My main goal when on Dovrefjell was to capture the “sound” of the harsh climate that dominates up there. Subsequently it was hard to avoid the ever restless wind. But it can be quite tricky to capture the sound of wind (or rather the sound of wind on or through objects) and there are only some “sweet spots”, in this vast high altitude climate scattered with rocks and tiny trees, that will generate a good recording.
These recordings were done crouching behind rocks, on cliff sides, on top of summits, behind weathered shelters, old mountain farms and bushes. Partially freezing my hands of, operating recording equipment.
Bells & Bowls – a collection of 86 files/100MB glass & ceramic bell sound effects in 24bit/96kHz mono – all UCS-compliant.
I give you 14 different bell-like objects, each multi-sampled for maximum expressiveness, tuned to the nearest musical note and ready to drop into your favorite sampler and play away. Ranging from only slightly complex sine waves, to strange wobbles and beat frequencies, these actual physical bowls, plates and vases had some pretty amazing musical sounds in them. Many of them took surprisingly little pitch-alterations to reach a musical note – almost as if some glassware factory wanted them to be struck with mallets and recorded!
You get:

Elements: Gears is a collection of small and large gear, ratchet, cogwheel and other mechanical sounds recorded and edited over more than 2 years by George Vlad. The library encompasses more than 4000 individual sounds covering actions such as single clicks, slow movement, fast movement, short turns etc. The objects recorded include ratchet tools, plastic toys, old sewing machines, wagon wheels and ethnic noise making instruments. In this sound pack I’ve included an in-depth selection of active ambiences. This library is focused more on the natural ambience of both busy main streets and calmer side streets.
Most sounds were captured below 110 St. and prominently in the Lower East and West Village. There are a multitude of police and firetruck sirens at varying distances as well as some not so common areas like the Intrepid Pier and the Hudson River Heliport ambience.
I’ve also included some extensive subway rides. All boring bits were edited out for a strong final product. There are multiple train rides with various levels of walla and PA announcements.
One thing that is very common in NYC during the summer months are the rain and thunderstorms. I’ve included a number of wet traffic, distant thunderstorms and heavy rains.
All in all this is a good representation of New York’s streets and subway systems.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
