Animal Hyperrealism Vol III is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1700 individual sounds in 279 files.
The sounds were recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: european red deers, monkeys, reindeers, hornbills camels, crickets, tamarins, boars, frogs, red ruffed lemurs, parrots, and many more.
The content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image.
Part of the cheats section of the library features samples recorded at 384KHz. For these sounds an additional microphone was employed, specifically the CMPA by Avisoft-Bioacoustics which records up to 200 KHz. This microphone was used to record most of the library but the 384KHz format was preserved only where energy was found beyond 96KHz not to occupy unnecessary disk space.
All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these for mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
This library features a fine selection of Eurasian Mammals. The animals have been recorded both, in the wild and at animal care centres across Germany.
The most prominent and unique animal sounds in this library are probably squeaky juvenille garden dormice, grunting boar and sniffing hedgehog.
Also impressive recordings from deer rut are included and close up and very clean recordings from various bats, both flight calls and sounds during feeding.
There are plenty of rodents and other animals, check the list at the end of the text or the file list for an even more detailed overview.
Many of the recorded animals called in the ultra frequent range and have been recorded at 192kHz with microphones like the Earthworks QTC50, that go well beyond 90kHz. These noises are perfect for pitching and other sound design, I included some slowed down sounds as examples.
If you want to buy the library as a bundle with my libraries Eurasian Insects and Eurasian Birds, please contact me directly.

Fallow Deer is a collection of recordings taken during the amazing spectacle that is the fallow deer rut. The library includes the strange low frequency grunting, bellowing and dramatic antler clashes as the male deer fight to compete for mating rights. Many of the recordings were made at night and being in a hide surrounded by around 40 aggressive males in the pitch dark was a breathtaking experience I will never forget.
Please listen to the demo and look at the metadata PDF below to get a sense of what type of recordings are included.
The library includes detailed metadata and is UCS compliant

ROAR By Stags is sound effects library constructed with high quality recordings of deers roaring in the middle of the forest. Everything was captured at night, during the high time of rut. It’s time when the stags are most vocal, calling to attract the attention of hinds. During those 2 to 4 weeks they are less cautious and easier to record. Inside this package you’ll find 267 files with total length of 291 minutes, both stereo and mono recorded in few different places, covering a wide range of sounds from general ambients with distant and washed out calls, through middle range roars, up to very close ones. There are also few foley like recordings of deers walking or rubbing their antlers against the trees. This is a complete package for any nature documentary, horror-ish scenes or a great set of sounds for monster / creatures sound design.
This library in numbers:
Get the powerful sounds of roaring stags – captured in the wild. Recording these sounds was a huge challenge, and about 90% of the captured material was discarded. However, 10% made the cut, and that’s what you get in this unique collection: Roaring Stags gets you more than an hour of wild stags roaring in their natural environment.
• In Sika Deer, get a hellacious collection of elk-like bugling. Hear haunting calls floating in the distance and visceral screams so close they could cause nightmares.
• This library offers you a small collection of sounds from a fascinating species. I didn’t know deer made such haunting vocalizations and it was a joy to hear them for the first time. I hope you enjoy them too. Thanks for listening.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.

I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
