This collection started as a mic test and turned into a library. What is unique about the collection is that the phone was taken apart so you get each individual element as clean as possible. It was recorded with shotgun mics, a TLM 103 to see how it sounded with something other than dialogue, and a Cold Gold contact mic at 96 khz, which was the biggest surprise as it sounds like a high definition retro mic when placed on the back of the phone's rotary dial. Skip the antique hunt and listen to these vintage sounds.
This sound library contains a multitude of coins on different surfaces with a wide variety of performances. The coins come from different countries and some are no longer minted. I also used heavy centenary coins to simulate old world coins for your gaming audio needs.
All content was recorded using high-quality, professional equipment – Neumann KMR81i and Sound Devices. All files were recorded at: 24bit, 96 kHz in an acoustically treated room. Meta Data is also included.
This library features the sizzle of burning water with sounds that were recorded to capture the feeling of heat and the dynamics of heat exchange. These easily recognizable sounds can be used for literal frying or as sweeteners for magic sounds or anything else whi needs to feel hot. Files last from eight seconds to two and a half minutes allowing flexible use for foley, ambiences, layers, or wherever your imagination leads you.
2020 will be a historic year. COVID-19 has changed our life, and we have been locked in our homes for months. During these months we have been collaborating with crowdsource audio projects, but we have also recorded our homes!!
Here is a huge recording session of my HOUSE! recorded in Mono, with 416 Mics and zoom recorders, you have the best collection of ambiences and household elements in both RAW and Compressed format, included in a STEREO LR file. (L RAW / R COMPRESS)
All our libraries are UCS compliant (universalcategorysystem.com). In this new category system all files contain extensive metadata like file description, Category & Subcategory. Metadata can be read and processed by the most common audio libraries management tools . Starting with Full support from Soundminer and more audio tools adopting this system, we are adopting metadata UCS system in our files!

Normal, everyday door sounds? Yes – and lots (and lots) of them!
A door opening or closing in a film/tv show/video game can absolutely take you out of the experience if done incorrectly.
At the end of working on Uncharted 4, the last sound I created was a door opening and closing. It was just a normal household door. I couldn't find any good door opening and closing sounds (and creaks…don't get me started). I also didn't have time to go out and record my own source. I was extremely frustrated.
There are a LOT of different types of doors in this world. Most sound libraries try to record ALL varieties of doors. The problem is that you might have a lot of different and unique doors, but only a couple of NORMAL house doors. Or, they just have a couple of NORMAL industrial doors. A sound designer's worst nightmare is lack of variety and choice.
With that in mind, I went on a personal journey to record all the normal doors I could find. I recorded door openings, closings, squeaks and creaks. That's it! I wanted the largest variety of normal house and industrial door openings/closings/creaks/squeaks on the market. For my next projects, I didn't want a door sound getting me frustrated!

• Normal Industrial Door sound effects
• 1400+ Sounds
• 120+ Doors
• Opening, Closing, Squeaking and Creaking

Developed in exclusive collaboration with Academy Award®-winners Mark Mangini & Richard L. Anderson, The Odyssey Collection: Foley Effects provides clean, natural recordings of everyday actions for seamless integration into your projects.
With a huge variety of props, surfaces, and variations of each sound, this go-to Foley sound library has you covered. Craft your scenes with common Foley recordings like footsteps, cloth rustle, and body grabs – as well as practical and peculiar objects like chair slides, glasses, coins, plastic, aerosol spray, butterfly wing flaps, and much more.
What is Foley? Foley is technically the act of recording sound effects performed in-sync to picture, using various props and surfaces, often on a Foley stage. In this case, these Foley-like sounds were recorded by Mangini and Anderson to fill out temp mixes of feature film projects before the traditional Foley process – with a focus on discrete actions within natural sonic environments.
“Much of what constitutes this library are wild sounds that Richard and I recorded because we didn’t have Foley yet. We would usually perform our ‘pre-Foley’ sound effects in acoustic spaces like rooms, halls, or wherever would make them sound most natural and useful in perpetuity across different projects.” – Mark Mangini (Blade Runner 2049, Mad Max: Fury Road)

Features:
These effects were recorded in a Victorian Town House in London, England. The house has been pretty much preserved from the day when its first owner died, with the original furniture, decorations and facilities.
Now a museum, I was granted access for a couple of hours one morning and I went from the basement to the top floor, recording the various doorbells and servants bells along with some of the old and heavy wooden doors. The bells are connected to various parts of the house by wires that run under the floorboards and are operated by a bell pull or handle in the rooms and at the front and rear doors of the house.
There are eight different bells, five in the basement and three in the attic rooms, all recorded at different lengths and intensities, a dinner gong and six doors, with openings and closings of different intensities. There are 111 effects in all, recorded at 96/24 Later that year, I stayed in an old tenement house in Edinburgh, Scotland, where almost every door creaked wonderfully.
These effects were recorded at 48/24 and are included as a bonus to the main collection. There’s also a couple of big metal door slams thrown in for good measure.
The MicroTone: Doors library contains 189 everyday door open and closes at various distances and speeds.
Two interior doors, one plastic frame and one wood frame, recorded in mono at close, medium and distant perspectives. Performances range from slam, to normal close, to a soft push shut and finally partial closing.
Contains sounds which will work for all your household door effect cutting needs.
MicroTone is a series of smaller, less expensive libraries from Tone Manufacture for those times when you need a small injection of fresh sounds for a project and don’t have time to record your own.
This is a large foley library with almost 700 recordings of every day props that can be applied to the types of scenes we design all the time. Sounds included are movements like writing, impacts, handling and sliding; surfaces such as wood, cloth, water, metal and skin; and props like cigarettes, glasses, vacuums, doors, flask, mattresses, car doors and more! All sounds were professionally recorded by a Foley artist on a Foley stage, and the recordings are kept raw. Enjoy!
The squeakiest of the squeaks and the creakiest of the creaks! Halloween came early!
In this library you will find everything from deep, wrenching creaks to high piercing squeaks; quiet door knobs and twisting, turning plastics. Many of these sounds were recorded in a turn of the century old victorian home with decades of wear and tear to give the most authentic, creepy sounds that your heart desires.
Here you'll find drippy, squeaky faucets, loose boards on stairwells, creaking door hinges, squealing old door coils, metal scraping on metal, rending wood and plastic, quiet, airy floorboards, bone crushing twist and turns, gripping leather and rubber and so much more! With 300+ sounds you're sure to maximize your imagination's spookiest or maybe just that perfect sound design element you needed!
The sounds were recorded in stereo at 96 kHz 24 bit. The equipment used was a Sony PCM-M10 and the files were processed, edited, and mastered in Reaper.
The MicroTone: Doors library contains 133 everyday filing cabinet drawer open and closes at various distances and speeds.
Two filing cabinets, one metal and one wood, recorded at close and medium perspectives. Performances of all the drawers at fast, medium and slow speeds.

MicroTone is a series of smaller, less expensive libraries from Tone Manufacture for those times when you need a small injection of fresh sounds for a project and don’t have time to record your own.
A massive 496 Audio Files of detailed and balanced recordings of handwriting performances. Scribbles, erasing, check marks, blackouts, colouring, circles and crosshatches for each writing tool are in this complete Foley library.
You get mechanical pen and pencil clicks, cap pop-offs and snap-ons, squeaky pens and thick markers, crayons, ball point pens, felt pens, erasers, highlighters and sharpies.
Capturing the detail of the subtle sound with zero background noise is an art in itself! For these recordings, we found that the best results were achieved using an LCR configuration. A tightly positioned Rode NTG3 shotgun mic for the centre was used, along with a pair of slightly pulled back Sennheiser MKH 8040s to provide a gentle stereo image. The environment we used was our “dead room”, completely silent and reverb-free for this type of recording (this neat little room approaches a mini anechoic chamber) Reliably transparent and highly recommended, a Sound Devices Mix-Pre-6 was used to capture the final recordings.
Get ready to get back to school – in sound. This library contains more than 350 files and over 1.500 high definition sounds.
• The backpack, pens, pencils, iron ruler, the blackboard & chalk
• Different types of files, folders, books and binders

This sound library is a carefully recorded collection of various tape(masking, duct, shipping, Scotch tape). Each type of tape were recorded in many ways like pulling fresh tape from a roll, short rips, peeling off from various objects, tearing tape lengthwise, wrapping, unraveling, crumbling and more.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
