This Coastal Ambience Sound Effects Library is part of the General Ambience Series by Systematic Sound. Coastal 01 features the sound of natural coastal landscapes with cliffs & sandy beaches, as well as traditional fishing villages with small ports and industrial harbors. On some days you could hear the wind howling and the flagpoles of the boats rattling in the wind. On other days the waves where splashing with a sharp hiss against the shore. You will find close up positions with all the details and far positions, where you can hear a deep rumble of the distant surf. The sounds of coastal village life feature anything from calm squares to busy streets with lost of pedestrian activity, traffic and seagulls screaming in the background. The sounds of the ports and harbors had a more industrial tone with deep roaring boar engines and industrial din from running machinery.
FOREST DAY is a diverse collection of 59 isolated Forest Ambiences and Wildlife Sounds.
This library came out of a love for hiking and exploring Mountains and Forests and capturing the wonderful soundscapes of that world. Most of these recordings took place in California, in particular, a number of areas throughout the Angeles Forest. You’ll also come across sounds from high atop the Eastern Sierras, San Jacinto Wilderness, Los Padres Forest, as well as a few other Forests.
A variety of different bird species are included, at lower elevation settings, higher Mountains, throughout the day, some in isolation, others sometimes alongside wind.
Also included are isolated Mountain winds in different variations and with vegetation and tree creaks. There’s Cicadas and a few day crickets.
Detailed metadata and markers have been provided so they’re easily searchable. Photos are embedded in every file to give an idea of what the location was like. Checking out the Metadata Sheet will give on a better idea of everything else that’s in the library.

When my wife and I were taking a little vacation in the woods of Hardwick, Vermont, I was awestruck by just the utter absence of any anthropogenic noise around us. Whenever there was a car coming through, you’d hear it from miles away, and, with it being late November, there were no bird calls for the majority of the time.
In a small patch of forest near Nichols Pond lies a network of creeks and water runoffs that are ideal for capturing undisturbed, serene sounds of water flowing. Stable temperatures meant that there was very consistent snow melt and the flow of the water stayed steady throughout many hours of recording.
As a result, this single-purpose library contains long-form recordings of these creeks that will excel wherever the sounds of water flowing are desired with not even the slightest hint of looping. With the exception of two babbling brooks captured in stereo during a hike, all recordings are 10 minutes long and captured in AmbiX (Ambisonic B-Format) for the greatest possible flexibility when it comes to placing them in a virtual environment.
These recordings are free of edits and include stereo versions for dragging and dropping without the need for Ambisonic decoding. As a special treat, three long-form recordings are also accompanied by a Geofón track that captures the vibrations caused by the water in the nearby soil.
Recording Specs: 24 Bit / 96 kHz AmbiX & Stereo. 48 kHz Mono Geofón Recordings
Channel Formats: AmbiX (Ambisonic B-Format), Stereo, Mono
File Format: WAV
Size: 4.6 GB Stereo & Geofón, 8.3 GB AmbiX, 12.8 GB total

Submerge was created using a stereo hydrophone which recorded submerged and underwater sounds. We recorded various water sources from streams, rivers, waterfalls, showers and drains
We were able to record:
Drain water flow and movement with bubbles, gargling and draining sounds
Flow/Currents of Rivers and Streams moving
Impacts/Dunks and Splashes
and
Rock Movements under the water
Recording with a stereo hydrophone allowed us to captured unique and different sounds on both tracks, so for instance, left track was underwater but on the right track it had the sound of drips falling on to the Hydrophone from a water fall. Giving you options to split the audio for different tonalities, giving you more audio to work with for your said project.
Submerge has been edited to allow a drop in ready and Royalty Free sample pack. These Samples can be used in a variety of projects from Sound Designing through to Composing for a variety of projects such as TV, Film, Documentaries and Video Games.
Marvel at sounds of the natural world that have rarely been documented.
The first library in the Hidden Sounds Series explores the magical and unexpected sound of aquatic plants. These truly fascinating sounds have been patiently recorded in natural habitats using a selection of hydrophones. The collection features a wide variety of plant photosynthesis sounds, from intense pulses to arrhythmic percussive patterns. The delicate underwater pops and clicks are perfect for realistic documentaries, but also reminiscent of early glitch music – let your imagination go wild. Sounds have been recorded in mono or stereo and are categorised into short, medium, and long durations to fit your project requirements. This is what it’s like to hear with ears underwater!
Equipment used: Zoom F8 and Sony PCM-M10 recorders. Aquarian Audio H2a, Aquarian Audio A5, and AquaBeat hydrophones.
All files are UCS compliant and fully meta-tagged. Recorded by internationally recognised sound recordist, David de la Haye.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
