Home rumbles
Cymbals From Hell Vol. 3 is an unnerving collection of the most disturbing, ominous sounds, brought to you as a sequel to one of our most popular horror libraries to date. Built from Tibetan bowls and various bell recordings, this collection of sound effects is destined to disturb and horrify you to the absolute fullest, bringing out every sense of fear and anguish that your audience has.
This horrifying library is made in association with Igor Tikhonov from KEDR Audio, who captured Tibetan bowls and various bells (performed with different types of beaters) using both Mid-Side and omnidirectional A/B microphone techniques to cover an extensive stereo-field and different textures. Our team of Audio Craftsmen carefully edited and designed them to make the most mysterious and disturbing sounds including harsh hits, low drones, distorted stingers, magical bells, dark – unsetting chimes, and even weird sci-fi drones.
All of the sounds are extensively meta-tagged and UCS compliant so that you can easily find the sound you need. All of the files are in 192kHz/24bit allowing for further sonic manipulation.
Say Hello to Particles the new sonic weapon for creative sound designers, video makers, filmmakers and motion designers.
A must-have sound effect library to give a sense of organic and hyper-realistic to your projects in a fast and creative way.
Hyper- Realistic Textures (104 sounds)
These are hyper close-up recordings of various kinds of props (food, fabrics, materials).
Since they are really rough, they’ll inspire you to create something cool using them as sound sources.
Their proximity allows you to use them for macro-shots, CGI and motion pieces, hyper-detailed images.
Granular Whooshes (76 sounds)
From sci-fi granular to totally organic, a large number of whooshes, passbys, dopplers to give a natural sense of motion to your project.
Minimal One Shots (62 sounds)
This is the category of short and tiny sounds: small collapsing, fractures, all with a premium high-end sonic detail.
You can make your organic foley drumkit using them as a sample into your electronic music project.
Organic Impacts (17 sounds)
Powerful, organic, natural-sounding with a big low end, these impacts are ready for your earth’s destruction shots.
Granular Atmospheres (16 sounds)
Abstract but generated from organic recordings, these atmospheres will help you to get the right “other world” dimension to your project
Low End Rumbles (12 sounds)
Last but not least, do you need more power in the low end? You can layer these sounds to enforce subsonic frequencies giving a new taste to other existing sounds.
“Rain & Thunder Residential Balcony” (RTRB in short) includes 21 stereo files (WAV, 96 kHz, 24 bit) of total length: 1h 48m 58s. All files were carefully edited and discribed with UCS metadata.
Recorded with Zoom H6 with internal mid-side capsule during few stormy days of June 2020 in the beginning of covid pandemic (hence there’s almost no traffic background!).
The idea was to place the mic on the balcony in the residential, suburban area of Warsaw, Poland, in the best, exact same spot each time, so the recordings can be edited seamlessly together. Library contains rain in every phase from begining, through light, medium and heavy to the ending and afterwards. That gives the editor the opportunity to navigate with rain intensity throughout the scene and even create the storm from pieces.
Different storm stages can work really well also for the computer game implementation.
There are lots of distant thunder rumbles but also few really close, sharp and scary thunder strikes.
RTRB is 21 stereo files, 96/24. 3,5 GB big, all UCS ready!
Supernatural Ghosts provides the sounds of spirits in multiple variations, allowing you to construct entire horror scenes and suggest ghostly presence. To bring you this horrifying library, we recorded and designed human voices, abstract instruments such as the waterphone, thunder tube, harmonica all in 24Bit 96kHz allowing for further manipulation.
All of the human voices are provided with dry variations to enable you to apply your own effects to taste.
Here are the included folders:
Ghostly Breaths: This folder consists of male and female inhales, exhales and angry breaths all with a cold and ghostly performance.
Ghostly Voices: A collection of phrases by male and female ghosts, perfect for giving a voice to a supernatural being within your scene.
Ghostly Presence: This category contains haunting ambiances, sure to leave your audience with their neck hairs standing up.
Production Elements: piercing risers, booming cinematic impacts, ultrasonic and infrasonic sounds, perfect for accenting your most gruesome moments.
Whoosh, Swoosh & Swing is a large collection of “whipping” sounds made by various objects including golf clubs, swords, spatulas, fishing poles, cloth, and much more. Some of the sounds were sped up or slowed down using analog tape to give them a vintage Kung-Fu movie feel.
These sounds are essential to a good fight or sports scene, as body parts, weapons, or flying objects whip around the screen!

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
