    For this sound effects library, we traveled across Alaska, from the extreme north to the south coast to capture the spirit of these nordic and wild landscapes: Boreal forests, arctic and alpin tundras, glaciers, rivers, and lakes.

    Here the soundscapes reflect the extreme weather conditions: Silent ambiances punctuated by the elements: Wind, snow, rain, serving the erosion.

    In this wilderness, animals remain discreet. We had the chance to capture many birds with our microphones: Owls, ducks, seagulls, trumpeter swans, bald eagles, common ravens, migratory birds, and many other species – and a few other animals: Hoary marmots, arctic marmots, squirrels and moose.

    -The sound bank contains 66 sound takes recorded in ambisonic at 24/96khZ (a total of 330 files).

  • Environments & Ambiences Amazon Jungle Rainforest – Wilderness Americas Play Track 117 sounds included, 566 mins total From: $89

    Wilderness Americas : Amazon Rainforest is a collection of sounds captured in the West part of the Amazon basin (El Oriente) across 3 South American countries : Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia.

    This library focuses on the wildlife and wilderness sounds of the Amazon rainforest/jungle.
    Reaching the Amazon region is not easy and need many resources and time.
    Also the weather conditions are very bad for people and audio equipment: Extreme humidity, rain and heat don’t work great with microphones and recorders.
    We have selected audio gear specifically for this purpose: Tropicalized microphones : sennheiser MKH 8020 and MKH 30 series in a surround configuration + a world-renowned recorder : Sound devices Mixpre 10T. We also brought a humidity-proof microphone basket (Cinela)
    This weather-proof setup permitted us to record even under strong tropical rain. (We have also a special mic cover which reduces the sound of raindrops on the microphone basket)

    We have always focused on places where they protect and respect the “Selva” (Forest), especially places like National Parks, Research Stations or community places.
    -> We went recording in these places: Madidi National Park (BOLIVIA), Podocarpus National Park (Ecuador), “Jatun Sasha” biological station (Ecuador),
    The forest around the Rio Napo (an affluent connection to the amazon river) (Ecuador), the “Reserva de Produccion Faunistica Cuyabeno” (Ecuador), and the region around Mocoa, between Santa Rosa Canyon and the Paway Reserva (Colombia).

    We used “sound trap” technics for long and immersive recordings: We hid microphones and protected recorders in a waterproof bag and let it sit for days and nights in the middle of the rainforest (usually 24 hours of non-stop recording).
    This system allowed us to record the sunrise, dawn chorus, and sunset – times where the animals are more active.
    Here is some animals we have recorded :

    Exotics Birds and more, especially parrots, parakeet, cuckoo, Oro Pendulo, cacique, magpie, etc.
    Insects and more, especially crickets, cicadas, mosquitos, flies, etc.
    Mammal : Amazonian flying squirrel, spider monkeys, and howler monkeys
    Amphibians: Frogs, toads

    Each sound recording are tagged with GPS coordinates and full Soundminer metadata.

    -The Full sound bank (Stereo + Surround/Ambisonic) contains 117 sound takes recorded in 24/96khZ (Total length : 566 minutes) and decline in 351 files

If you are a working sound effects editor, sound designer, film maker or game designer… this really is content for everyday usage! From pristine natural environments to rural countryside shared with people, there are options to cover exotic and European exterior spaces that will prove useful across multiple genres and most everyday applications. Wide spread bird species are featured in these nature recordings that remain common across Europe and North America, such as guls, pigeons, ducks and more. The rural recordings included also contain common farm animals like sheep in fields.

    Water. With so many textures and possible settings for water, this selection aims to provide some common use cases. Various intensities of sea waves, tidal sounds, waves against man made features and natural shorelines are included along with inland rivers, streams and water features.     Ambisonics – Lisbon compiles 57 long and evolving sound files from Portugal’s sunny capital, known for its unique river/ocean-side location and diverse lifestyles.

    Busy traffic intersections from the city’s famous avenues contrast with the quiet ambience of its picturesque neighborhoods. These areas are splashed with riverside waves and distant boat engines and also include chatty tourist hotspots like Carmo’s Street, Feira da Ladra’s flea market, or A Brasileira’s coffee shop. Lisbon’s main plazas also abound with centered recordings, resulting in complete cityscapes with both busy traffic flow and pedestrian action.

    Some of the city’s gardens were recorded on hot summer days, capturing cicada calls, the chirping of multiple bird species, and curious sightseers exploring the surroundings.

    The city’s trademark trams are also prominently featured on all traffic soundscapes but also with an interior ride take for full VR immersion. Other city transportation vehicles, such as cable cars, trains, subways, and their respective stations, are also included. They were recorded on multiple floors and distances, some with interior takes as well. With nearly 6 hours of versatile and original content, you’re guaranteed to find the right cityscape from one of Europe’s most sought-after tourist destinations.

    Chain Ferry features the remarkable sounds of a 100 year old ferry with a specific drive system. The ferry pulls along a strong chain lying at the ground of the river to cross. This is achieved by a clever combination of 3 drive wheels that guide the chain and prevent it from dropping to the ground.

    The Library contains several complete audio takes of the ferry in action – from departure to arrival. This encompasses engine start, engine idle, loading ramp noises and bangs plus a lot of chain rattling from various perspectives. The sounds are recorded aboard and from both sides of the river so that the entire scenery can be covered acoustically.
