High Quality, Close Up sound recordings of Wolves in the Mountains during winter.

This will be an ongoing project of recording them, originally for just personal use but I decided to release part of these recordings here as there have been some requests for access and to license some of the recordings and thought was easier just to host them here.

The library tracks are named with UCS and the files are trimmed down to individual howls, as well as some longer recordings where the vocalisations were closer together and more layered from multiple wolves in the pack.

Throughout winter I was walking the snowy mountains in Poland walking in the footprints of wolves, listening, recording and tracking their movements to capture the variety and get up close and detailed recordings of howls, growls and other vocalisations.

Recorded in 48khz 32bit, sometimes 44.1khz 32bit (but mostly 48) using drop rigs and attended recording, I was out over 6 months working to record using a variety of techniques including SASS, parabolic (A B and mid side) and ORTF.

Using the landscape and environment to hide and position the mics with minimal disturbances to the wolves.
