Electromagnetic

  • Electricity Electromagnetic Play Track 1200+ sounds included $75

The sound library that you didn’t know you needed, a collection of electromagnetic sounds presented in Ultra-HD 24-bit 192k resolution. First a little science lesson: All Electric devices produce a magnetic field. Usually, you don’t hear this field. And you can’t record it with a normal microphone. You need to use an induction coil pickup. These pickups are commonly used to record telephone conversations. But, hold them up to an electric device and all sorts of chaos ensues.

This library features various motors recorded with an induction coil pickup, as well as TVs, mobile phones, car ignitions, light bulbs, you name it. Many items that you use everyday give off amazing magnetic fields and we happily recorded as many as we could. The second half of this library is all synth sounds that, at times, sound even more electric than the real stuff.

For complex electromagnetic pickups for your drones, UI SFX, and transitions, this is a solid collection.

Guns

  • Weapons Guns Play Track 770+ sounds included $199

This is not another tired collection of stereo mixes or over-designed guns. We are proud to offer a massive set of multi-channel gun recordings, produced by experienced weapon recordists. Each weapon in the library includes sounds from at least 8 microphone perspectives, covering close, medium, and distant perspectives. We traveled to the Arizona desert and recorded real guns, firing live rounds, in an great sounding outdoor environment.

We have kept these sounds as raw and unprocessed as possible. While we carefully edited and cleaned every sound, you may still encounter occasional noise (shell ejections, rumble, wind buffets, and other outdoor sounds). It is our belief that if removing noise takes away from the character of the sound, we’d rather leave it alone, and let the end user decide how to best fit the sound in their mix. Despite any small imperfections, these are the cleanest, most powerful, and most useful gun recordings you will find anywhere.

Each weapon offers multiple takes and perspectives. Semi-Auto and Bolt Action guns include multiple single shots (8-12).  Full-Auto guns include multiple single shots, bursts, and long bursts (generally around 16-20+ rounds). You’ll find at least 8 microphone positions for each weapon; covering close, medium, and distant perspectives. View the weapon list to see everything that is included in this library.

    Featuring 27 different weapons:
    • Handguns
    • Rifles
    • Assault Rifles
    • Submachine Guns
    • Belt-Fed Machine Guns
    • Suppressed weapons

    Weapons included:

Luckily, Sound Effects Monkey is here to give you an excellent collection. Their new library 'Guns' includes gunshots from 27 handguns, assault rifles, SMGs, machine guns, and suppressed weapons. You'll hear everything from a Glock 18 to the U.S. Army's darling M249 SAW with 8 microphone perspectives, single shots, bursts, and long bursts of 16-20 rounds. Frozen Footsteps

  • Foley Frozen Footsteps Play Track 2400 sounds included $49

Prepare for shivers! Frozen Footsteps is a huge library of winter footstep & foley sounds recorded on 8 expressive and cold surfaces in real -20 °C (and below) temperatures.

Containing over 2400 sounds in 81 files, Frozen Footsteps foley sfx library is created for game and film sound design. If your game needs winter footstep sounds, or you are missing some authentic source material to take your studio foley tracks to the next level, this is the library for you.

All surfaces were recorded in real movement with multiple walking and running velocities. Frozen Footsteps library includes also real jumping and landings sounds. Jumping sounds are often missing from other foley libraries, but are extremely useful for creating character movement sounds for games. This package gets you covered.

7 surfaces were recorded during two freezing winter nights in a quiet rural area in Finland. Everything from ground to trees was totally frozen and covered in frost. However, snow hadn’t fallen yet. This special moment allowed recording footsteps on unique surfaces that are usually under snowpack. To make the package complete, the frozen snow sounds were recorded later, with real crusty snow. In freezing temperatures, as well.

All sounds were carefully edited in iZotope RX and Pro Tools 12 removing the background and clothing noise. This was quite a task, but it was worth it. This makes the sounds extremely clear, versatile, and easy to use.

    Library highlights:- 8 frozen surfaces
    – 2400+ sounds in 81 sound clips
    – Sneak, walk, run, jump, slide, scuffs, and more
    – 96 kHz, 24-bit stereo WAV files
    – 1.20 GB

  • Weather Wind In Trees Play Track 32 sounds included, 93 mins total $28

Here are ambient and specific recordings of rustling leaves, fluttering twigs and creaking trunks. Pine and Fir trees, Beechwood hedgerows and leafless Oak trees, along tall grass and reeds. All in all, a collection representative of the cultured landscape in Denmark, as well as much of northern Europe. I was lucky enough to record a storm during the last days of 2016, and those sounds are of course included here. No human voices or man-made sounds, but a few of the sounds have bird vocalizations in them.

The focus is rather narrow, going for many nuances of the same flavor – rather than many flavors. If you need sounds of a storm or gale in northern European vegetation, then this should fit the bill. Note that there is audible buffeting in several files. I opted to leave it in there, as it might suit some purposes, and let me keep the most violent passages. You can try your luck with noise reduction, but since wind is mostly broadband noise anyway, it might not turn out well. YMMV.

A few sounds appear in both mono and stereo versions, where the stereo version are X/Y derived from the M/S source files and the mono versions are simply the Mid channel. I did this, because most people seem to prefer X/Y files for post-work, rather than M/S – but a down-mix of X/Y to mono would be inferior to using the original Mid-mic signal. All sounds were captured in Denmark between October and January.

    You get:
    • Wind through trees, bushes and tall grass
    • Close recordings and wider takes
    • X/Y Stereo and Mono sounds (decoded from M/S)
    • Searchable file names
    • Metadata included in CSV and ODS (OpenOffice) formats
  • The EFX BLACK POWDER Weapons pack is a collection of 19th Century pistol, revolver and rifle weapon sounds.

The collection includes recordings of 1777 AN IX & Lepage pistols, REMINGTON 1858 & RUGER OLD ARMY revolver, 1777 AN IX, 1822 TBIS, GIBBS, LEE ENFELD, PARKER HALE rifles – as well as a number of salvos from black powder rifles.

Travel back in time and recreate classic gunfights and shootouts with this collection of vintage weapon sounds.
