Asbjoern Andersen's marketplace for independent sound effects libraries, plug-ins and virtual instruments,
with a blog about sound design interviews, field recording guides and news from film, game and TV audio.

Acoustic Nature

Jared Blake records nature soundscapes in remote wilderness, backpacking miles in to avoid noise pollution,
and sells the results as sound effects. Acoustic Nature also publishes microphone reviews, gear guides and field recording techniques.

April Tucker

April Tucker is a Los Angeles post-production sound professional and re-recording mixer for FX Networks promos, with credits in foley, ADR,
dialogue editing and sound supervision. Her blog explains post sound roles and audio career questions.

Audioshade

Michael O'Connor, a film and TV sound designer in the Los Angeles area, owns Audio Shade and builds sound effects libraries.
The site has a field recording blog, with recent posts on gear such as acoustic panel stands.

Cities & Memory

Oxford-based sound project pairing each field recording with a reimagined composition made from it,
with more than 8,000 sounds from 140 countries. The blog posts artist spotlights and news about its themed collections.

Evocative Sound

Field recordist and photographer Richard Alan Hannon, based in Northfield, Ohio, publishes environmental recordings,
sound effects libraries, soundscape albums and photography. A former newspaper photojournalist, he documents natural soundscapes that are changing.

G.A.N.G. - Game Audio Network Guild

A non-profit founded in 2002 for people working in game music, sound design and dialogue. G.A.N.G. hosts the annual G.A.N.G.
Awards, Demo Derbies, webinars and panels, and publishes newsletters and podcasts about the game audio industry.

Javier Zumer

Javier Zumer is a senior technical sound designer at Supermassive with over ten years in game audio.
His blog is about Wwise and FMOD implementation, audio programming in C++ and C#, and working with Unreal and Unity.

Melissa Pons

Melissa Pons is a field recordist and sound designer in Portugal whose work centers on the more-than-human world.
She curates and produces podcasts for earth.fm, and blogs about her recording work and the practicalities of freelancing.

Mindful Audio

George Vlad founded Mindful Audio in 2014 to share his recordings of remote natural soundscapes.
He sells sound effects libraries and blogs about his expeditions and the field recording gear he takes with him.

Nicolas Titeux

Nicolas Titeux is a sound designer, mixer and composer in Marseille, France, with over 15 years in post-production.
He writes tutorials on topics such as choosing microphones for sound design, pitch shifting and sound design for advertising.

Noise Jockey

Nathan Moody supervises, records, designs and edits sound effects, music and foley for games and films from the San Francisco Bay Area,
and he has worked with Skywalker Sound and Team Audio. He has written the Noise Jockey blog about field recording, sound design and music since 2009.

Resurface

Marketplace for used mixing consoles and control surfaces, co-founded by Tim Hurrell and Ben Nemes.

Robbie Elias Sound

Robbie Elias has recorded in the field professionally for over 12 years as a sound designer, with sessions for Microsoft, Warner Brothers,
343 Industries, Crytek and Boom Library. He specializes in large scale weapons, explosions and vehicle sessions, and his blog is about the sounds he records and the gear he uses.

Sound Ark

SoundArk Studios in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland works on sound design, audio post-production, location recording,
ADR and sound effects libraries for film, TV, radio and games. Its NOTES blog is about field recording, with posts on subjects such as recording insects.

Soundlister

Started by Asbjoern Andersen and Zdravko Djordjevic, Soundlister is a directory where composers, sound designers, foley artists,
voice actors and re-recording mixers show their portfolios. It also posts audio job listings and industry news.

SoundWorks Collection

Made by Colemanfilm Media Group, SoundWorks Collection profiles sound professionals around the world and takes you
behind the scenes at the dub stage for audio post-production on feature films, video game sound design and original soundtrack composition.

The REAPER Blog

Started in 2010 by freelance audio engineer Jon, who uses REAPER for recording, editing, mixing and mastering.
The site gives you tutorials, tips, news and reviews for REAPER users, plus training courses and private lessons.

The Sound Space - Pete Smith

Pete Smith is a UK location sound recordist and sound designer working on documentaries, commercials and corporate films,
including BBC's Surgeons: At the Edge of Life. He blogs about wildlife recording trips to Shetland, Finland and Svalbard.

Tonebenders

Sound design podcast hosted by sound editor Timothy Muirhead, going since 2012.
Episodes interview the sound editors, designers and mixers behind films, games and series about their workflows and creative choices.
