Quadcopter Flight

  • Quadcopters / Drone Sounds Quadcopter Flight Play Track 148 sounds included, 61 mins total $60

‘Quadcopter Flight’ shows off these buzzing beasts from near and far in both quiet exterior locations and the studio.

Featuring a large quadcopter and two minis, these machines were captured as they performed all possible actions, such as take-offs, flybys, revs, and sustained flight.

The library also has foley, a few crashes, and recordings from contact mics that were attached to the two smaller quads for sounds of high-tech servo/rotor sounds that can be used for sci-fi projects containing robots, sliding doors, and more.

    Quadcopters recorded:

    • Dromida Kodo II – Interior
    • Eachine H8S – Interior
    • Yuneec Typhoon G – Exterior
    • Yuneec Typhoon G – Interior

'Quadcopter Flight' by Audio Shade has the sounds of everyone's favorite cameraman/racer/recreational activity. Featuring the Dromida Kodo II, Eachine H8S, Yuneec Typhoon G and Yuneec Typhoon G, this library has plenty of interior and exterior takes of these machines as they dominate the skies. You'll find take-offs, flybys, revs and sustained flight, and even foley, a few crashes and contact mic recordings that sound like high-tech servos and rotors. If you need sounds of these rotorcrafts, this is the one for you.

Groats Part 1

  • Foley Sound Effects Groats Part 1 Play Track 378 sounds included, 14 mins total $22

This sound library gets you the sounds of groats and grains, and includes the rustling, crunching, breaking, rolling, rattling, trickling, pouring sounds of sugar, peas, pearl barley and macaroni. It’s the 1st installment in a larger series called Grains. There are 378 high quality sounds included, recorded and designed in 24 Bit/96 kHz, using an Oktava 012, DBX-386, Digi-003 and Reaper.

Just like animators, sound designers love particles. Though 'Groats Part 1' may not be granular in terms of synthesis, it's quite granular in the literal sense. Created by Alexander Ahura, this SFX library has sounds of grains and groats (which are the 'as-is' type of whole oats) as they rustle, crunch, break, roll, rattle, and trickle onto plywood, cardboard, glass, fabric, and more. It also includes sounds of pouring sugar, peas, barley and macaroni, too. If you like this library, make sure you stay tuned for part 2!

Space Station

  • Want the sounds of a space station? Space Station is a huge collection of designed futuristic ambiances, loopable room tones, drones, and individual interior sound elements, made to provide a truly diverse sonic palette for designing spacious soundscapes for science fiction, horror, fantasy, dramas and documentaries. This pack has everything you need, all in one place.

Space Station contains a whopping 7.6 GB worth of 500+ 24bit/96kHz sounds, each embedded with Soundminer metadata.

    The library includes:

Take your audience on a tour around the ship with Digital Rain Lab's 'Space Station' sound library. This collection has ambiences of halls, engine compartments, cockpits, and droning boiler rooms, as well as doors locking and unlocking, computations, sparks and currents, and steam and gas burners. It also has soft tonal alerts reminiscent of Tokyo's subways and supermarkets to give your scene an edge of peace in its mysterious environment. With 7.6 GB and over 500 sounds, this library should have everything you need to flesh out your ship.

Whooshes & Impacts 2

  • This library delivers a super-versatile collection of Whoosh and Impact sound effects. And yes, as the name suggests, this is the sequel to the very popular “Whooshes & Impacts“ Sound Effects Library from SoundBits. Two versions are available + a bundle:

    Whooshes & Impacts 2:

It features everything you need to give your projects the sonic impact they deserve, from fantasy-style battles to intense sci-fi space combat. You get fireballs, magical projectiles, asteroids, space ship pass-bys, missiles – and of course a vast variety of designed impact sound effects from very organic metal hits to abstract, distorted, screaming strikes.

All sounds are 100% dry. No reverbs were applied.

This pack contains 266 files split in 116 Impacts with at least 2 versions of one sound per file and 150 Whooshes with at least 3 versions of one sound per file. Giving you total amount of 607 sounds.

    Whooshes & Impacts 2 – ELEMENTS:

The ‘Whooshes & Impacts 2 – Elements’ Sound Effects Library features a re-designed and further processed selection of the sound layers from ‘Whooshes & Impacts 2’.

Split into 3 frequency bands, this composite collection brings you production elements to spice up your own whoosh and impact sounds, or easily create new ones from scratch. You have a transition that sounds good but just needs some interesting movement in the low end for that extra weight? Just choose from 1 of 50 low frequency whooshes and layer it with your existing elements.

You get 150 Impacts and 150 Whooshes. The Whooshes come with one variation per sound, giving you a total of 450 design elements for your productions in this library.

    Whooshes & Impacts 2 – BUNDLE:

You can also get both versions in a bundle – with a great discount.

'Whooshes & Impacts 2' by SoundBits is their second installment of these sounds of action. This library has over 600 sci-fi and fantasy hits and whooshes, featuring low massive stuttering, glitchy explosions, plasmic ships zipping by, metallic crashes, missiles and astroids, and passbys that sound like if Tatooine had choppers and jets. Plus, all sounds are free of reverb, allowing them to be perfectly treated for your scenes. For stylistic whooshes and organic metal hits, this library will give your sound design some punch.

Industrial Exteriors I

  • UCS-compliant, ambient recordings from various industrial sites, including the port of Aarhus with its bulk cargo and container terminals. Most of the sounds are quite generic though, and could be used in many different contexts. Some recordings are teeming with activity, while others feature deserted, yet humming and droning, industrial landscapes. Lots of HVAC with fans and pumps. Containers are moved, gravel is unloaded, engines are running. Very little wind, and hardly any legible speech. A few of the sounds are cut as seamless loops.

Most of the sounds were originally recorded with a Sennheiser MKH60/30 M/S setup. A few sounds appear in both mono and stereo versions, where the stereo version are X/Y derived from the M/S source files and the mono versions are simply the Mid channel. I did this, because most people seem to prefer X/Y files for post-work, rather than M/S – but a down-mix of X/Y to mono would be inferior to using the original Mid-mic signal. 4 of the sounds were recorded with a quasi binaural setup. All sounds were captured in Aarhus, Denmark.

'Industrial Exteriors I' by hzandbits features various industrial sites around the harbors of Denmark's Aarhus. In this library you'll find sounds of trucks and forklifts moving containers and dumping gravel, revving HVAC fans, cycling hydraulic systems, tugboats and ships idling in the ports, and more. There are also looping sounds and a few quasi-binaural sounds of passing trucks and forklifts. For a mix industrial sounds that is both distinctly harborish and flexibly generic, check out this library.

Popular sound effects this week:

  • Firearms Sound Effects Analogue Ordnance Play Track 6300+ sounds included, 293 mins total $96

Analogue Ordnance is a massive construction kit for science fiction weapon sounds, made entirely with hardware synthesizers, mastered entirely in the analogue domain, and with more variations per sound than any library of its kind. Absolutely no software plug-ins of any kind were used in its creation, except for its collection of ready-to-use designed sounds to show what can be done with the library’s constituent parts.

Masterminded by sound designer Nathan Moody, this library’s unique sonic language delivers about five hours of material, pushed hard through op amps, transistors, tubes, and transformers. Boutique and unique, customized synthesizer modules were used in conjunction with mastering-grade studio hardware to create sounds that range from retro and cute to modern and devastating.

Sounds are organized into mechanical, thump, body, tail, and charge-up groups for truly modular weapon construction. Each group has six to eight “banks” of related sounds, many with intensity (light, heavy) and duration (short, medium, and long) options. Nearly all sounds include 16 variations. In addition to the construction kit elements, some fully-designed weapon sounds are provided (using only the sounds from the construction kit), designed by Nathan Moody, Chase Steele, Axel Steichen, and Sergio Ronchetti.

But the flexibility doesn’t stop there. Reversing the sounds suddenly turns charge-ups into body elements, and vice versa. Each group has some frequency overlap with the others, so they can be mixed interchangeably outside of their labeled or intended uses with filtering and time/pitch manipulation. While the sounds are designed to be layered with themselves, this library plays very well with others, providing thousands of sweeteners to “tech up” any near-future gun or projectile-based firearm, magical attacks, superhuman abilities, or even user interface elements.

Add some hardware to your warfare. From concealable stun pistols to orbital artillery, Analogue Ordnance provides a fresh injection of new source material for your sci-fi weapon designs.

    ‘Massive’ Libraries
    – is our take at recreating sound effects through the use of state-of-the-art resynthesis, this approach generates semi-accurate recreations and mimics the target sound effect, however this method also produces novel and unexpected results.
