There have been a LOT of SFX libraries added to the site in the past week. Here’s an overview of some of them + I’ve also included a highlight of 3 of most popular libraries from the past 7 days. Happy listening :)
A collection of atmospheric urban wind recordings, captured by recordist Christian Hagelskjaer in downtown Aarhus, Denmark.
Recordist Stephan Marche recorded the sounds of Dresden, Germany from the hills around the city to capture that distant-city sound.
Recordist Mikkel Nielsen recorded lots and lots of dripping sounds – both ambiences and single sounds for spotting individual drops on various surfaces.
More city sounds: This library delivers a large collection of rain recordings, drippings, gutters, traffic, streams and other water movements from Los Angeles.
Andreas Uzenbenz gained access to a unique collection of antique grinders, and he managed to record no fewer than 13 of them – so, unsurprisingly, there’s lots of great grinding sounds in this collection.
If you need farm sounds, this library delivers recordings of 14 different species of farm animals, with multiple variations for each animal, 25 discreet rural backgrounds and 10 types of modern and traditional agricultural activities.
This week also saw the addition of some of the very best SFX libraries from Pole Position Production, masters of the vehicle SFX genre. One of my favorites is this collection of rare jet fighter sounds – from both exterior and interior perspectives. See their full A Sound Effect catalog here.
The guys at Pole Position Production don’t just do vehicles; they’ve also done this excellent collection of winter sound effects, including lots of snow and ice + unique skiing and other winter sports sounds.
