New sound effects: La Gomera ambiences, abandoned doors, interesting vehicles, and more!

'Windmills' by Morten Green Sound FX has over an hour of sounds from 6 windmills off the coast of the Danish island Orø. With their worn glass fiber blades, these windmills create naturally screaming whistles and deep, hollow rumbles that can create uneasy ambiences for industrial areas and horrifying ambiences. You will hear these windmills from close-up perspectives from the inside and outside, as well as distant recordings all to way up to 150m away. For an interesting library that you won't find anywhere else, give this one a listen!

'Bedford CA Dormobile' by Immersive FX gets you the sounds of this mid-Twentieth Century British vehicle by Bedford Motors. In the motorhome model, known as The Dormobile, all the features of this apartment-on-wheels are recorded to include the sounds of its doors, engine, horn, sliding windows, closet, sink, gas cooker, and expanding roof! These vintage sounds will get you the details you need to inspire an iconic retro-futuristic vehicle for your project's alternative history. If you've never seen a camper van, especially from the '50s, you might be in for a surprise.

'Abandoned Doors' by SKYES Audio has over 1,400 sounds of doors with unique characteristics. From the perspective of both inside the room and in the hallway, this library captures sounds of heavy mansion doors and metal doors in an abandoned warehouse. It includes multiple intensities, various types of knocks and jiggling of the handles, as well as kicking the door in, using a key, shaking the door, and letting it slowly squeak open. If your project takes place in a wide-open interior area like a large workshop or even a torture chamber, these are the sounds you want introducing your listeners to the scene.

'Junk Cars' by Mindful Audio gets you that rough petrol sound with over 31 minutes of driving in an old, not-so-roadworthy 1995 Opel Astra. Recorded from the cabin, engine compartment, exhaust, and underneath the car body, you will hear the vehicle drive on gravel, dirt, tarmac, and country roads while it accelerates, idles, revs, honks, and more. Also, this library will be periodically updated, so you get all future additions for free! For sounds of an old European car from all perspectives, check this one out.

'La Gomera’s Spirit' by Soundklemmi features sounds from life on this small Canarian island. With peaceful sounds of nature, windy beach ambiences, quiet village walla, rainstorms, frog choruses, wild cockatoos, and more, you will have the soundscapes you need to give your project the lifelike qualities of an island town. Each of these high-quality recordings lasts between 1.5 minutes and 14 minutes and there are even location photos for you to reference. If you are looking for sounds from a low-key Spanish island, check this one out.

'Subway' by Borys Peter has amazingly clean recordings of a city subway in Kyiv, Ukraine. With ambiences of the platforms, trains, escalators, and tunnels, and close recordings of the trains passing by with their squealing breaks and clacking wheels, you will get highly useful sounds for your fictional metro stations or even train-like vehicles. Recorded in quadro, double-MS, and stereo (with the mid, side, and rear sources available), this immaculate, professional library will give you the flexibility you need.
