Veteran dubbing mixer and audio engineer Dean Humphreys shares excellent - and hard-earned - insights into key elements to get right when applying and doing interviews for audio jobs.
Dean has worked in audio mixing for 48 years and mixed more than 190 films, and he started out making tea and carrying film cans after he was expelled from school at 16. In this talk for dBs Institute students, he explains why a CV with spelling mistakes gets deleted on the spot, why a job in a bar or a supermarket may count for more than your grades - and what happened to the trainee applicant who turned up late and asked for a cup of tea.
