Hear the sounds of Mars Asbjoern Andersen

Want to hear some sounds from another planet? NASA has just released these exciting clips, captured by the instruments of the NASA InSight lander on Mars. If you want to hear sounds from Mars, recorded with actual microphones, you’ll have to wait till the Mars 2020 Rover touches down on the red planet.

Sounds of Mars: NASA’s InSight Senses Martian Wind:

Listen to Martian wind blow across NASA’s InSight lander. The spacecraft’s seismometer and air pressure sensor picked up vibrations from 10-15 mph (16-24 kph) winds as they blew across Mars’ Elysium Planitia on Dec. 1, 2018.
