Snow Town

On a Sunday morning, John Silke pulled back the curtains to see his English town covered in snow. So he put on winter clothes, grabbed his recorder and spent the whole day recording snowy wintry sounds for 'Snow Town'. It consists of ambiences, snowball hits, footsteps, ice in a barrel being chipped, a snowball fight, cars driving, struggling in the snow, and more.

    I woke up on Sunday morning here in England and pulled back the curtains to see a town covered in snow. So I got my winter clothes on, grabbed my digital recorder and spent the whole day in the town, recording all the snowy wintry sounds I could find. This pack is the results. The pack consists of some general ambiences, some snowball hits, footsteps, ice in a barrel being chipped, a snowball fight, cars driving and struggling in the snow and much more.

Ambisonic - Pickup Truck Interior

'Ambisonic - Pickup Truck Interior' by Sen6 is a small package of interior recordings performed in a Mitsubishi L200, under multiple use-cases. The captured vehicle model is a Mitsubishi Hunter L200 2012, with a 2500cc Diesel engine. It includes driving on asphalt and gravel at various speeds, while the windows are open or closed for each scenario.

    Ambisonic – PickUp Truck interior is a small package of interior recordings performed in a Mitsubishi L200, under multiple use-cases.

    The captured vehicle model is a Mitsubishi Hunter L200 2012, with a 2500cc Diesel engine.

    It includes driving on asphalt and gravel at various speeds, while the windows are open or closed for each scenario. Rooftop rain was also recorded and added to this package.

    The Ambisonic version can be great for creating different listening angles of an interior car scene that uses several video angles, using it as an ambient layer for interactive experiences or simply implementing it into a real-time gaming audio engine.

     

    To create this product a Sennheiser Ambeo microphone paired with Zoom H8n was used.

    Please note that the Ambisonic version also includes a stereophonic rendering of the files.

    The library contains two different sets of recordings: stereo and/or Ambisonics 3rd Order.
    This will cover any needs. If you need mono, you will just need to get only track 1 of the Ambisonics files. If you need different formats, you just need to convert them from the Ambisonics files, which contain all the 360º spherical information. There are plenty of tools out there to use.
    Different sets of microphones and recorders have been used to create this library, according to what was best to get the recordings.

    Glass Bottle Percussion is a cinematic instrument built from 400+ sample recordings of antique glass bottles.

    Our Audio Craftsmen meticulously edited, balanced and programmed 4 round robins and 3 velocity layers for each bottle, before integrating them into our Kontakt interface, giving Film Composers and Music Producers a suite of unique textures to use in their tracks. These sounds are perfect for trailer percussion loops, rhythmic tension, electronic music and film score cues with an exotic tonality.

    The Main Articulations include: Drumstick Hits, Hand Taps, Bottle Top Hits, Drum Beater Hits, Nail Taps, Rolls, Scrapes and Wobbles.

    But we didn’t stop there… As always with our Kontakt library releases, our in-house Composers designed an eclectic array of designed patches.     Glacier Ice is a library containing over 300 high quality sounds of ice cracking, breaking, shattering in various sizes of blocks – recorded entirely in the Italian Alps over the course of two winters.

    The library contains sounds of all dimensions, from ice cubes being dropped in a drink to a designed iceberg collapsing.

    The majority of the material was recorded at 192 KHz with a Sanken CO100K and a stereo pair of Sennheiser MKH8040, making this library greatly flexible for pitch shifting and all sorts of heavy processing.

    A small section recorded at 96KHz features sounds recorded exclusively with contact microphones placed directly on the surface of a frozen water stream.

    SUV Dirt Track Racing contains extensive sound effects of two racing SUVs (Ford F-150 2004 and Ford Explorer 2004) recorded on a speedway in Ontario, Canada. With an amazing collection of driving, revving and racing sounds in different perspectives, this library gives you that full throttle, pedal to the metal sound that you only get from genuine racing vehicles.

    Our Audio Craftsmen have sourced engine sounds of the modified SUVs from interior – exterior perspectives, exhaust nodes, and engine perspectives. We also recorded sounds of the SUV’s racing each other, including high revs, drifting through gravel, pass bys, suspension sounds and much, much more.

    The library also includes sounds of a driver getting inside the car, opening doors, putting on helmets and seatbelts, starting the engine, turning off the engine etc. We captured both vehicles in isolation and racing each other – driving constantly, passing by, engine idles and explosive revs.

    All of the sounds were captured using either a Sanken CS-M1 or a DPA 4060, carefully edited and ready to be used straight away in your projects. They can be used to represent many different types of Racing Vehicle, SUV, Motorbike, Muscle Car due to the nature of their engines being pushed to the limit during recording.

    This car has been recorded on a private circuit. It has a very peculiar peculiarness : its engine had issues and emitted a specific staccato/typewriter type of sound. So, if you’re looking for a car with some character, look no further my good person. We at Big Pizza Sniffers always strive to deliver you something functionally broken in the best quality possible. It’s obviously not broken to the point of not working. This is a very very fast car that did very fast laps. It’s just peculiar. Listen to the demo attached.

    We’ve recorded a couple laps with 3 onboards mics, as well as exteriors with a Schoeps MS setup : a startup to drive away, an arrival to stop, and some idle on the track.

    It’s a short little library that can cover your many needs if you have a vintage/flavourful race car scene. It can also function as asmr if you’re a really big fan of the madmax movies.
