Product Description
I made this program to make my own work easier – and maybe for others too. I use it for naming sound effect files according to the Universal Category System.
Short instructions:
Before using this program, you should first tag the files and fill metadata in Soundminer, for example. I assume you’ve already named the files while creating them. Now you can use this program to batch-create UCS prefixes.
In the first window, enter the Cat ID or choose it with UCS Category Selector, then the Sound Effect Name, your Creator ID, and finally the Library Name. After that, the Generated Prefix will be automatically written. You can copy the result by clicking Copy to Clipboard.
There’s also a strict auto-format toggle, which removes empty spaces between the words.
Next, Add Files you want to rename, and then click Rename Files — the prefix will be added to each file you selected. Have in mind that this program will create file copies, since web-based applications can’t directly rename files on your computer. Clicking Reset resets the entire program.
For those who don’t like Dark Mode, the theme can be switched to Light Mode.
What’s new in v2:
UCS Category Selector
Drag & drop
UCS strict auto-format
This application is now available on all operating systems and all web browsers.
