A Sound Effect Adds Much Faster SFX Downloads + Improved Site Speed

For the past few weeks, I’ve been working on some major site improvements: SFX downloads are now much faster for all users across the globe, thanks to a special new (custom-built) tool that uses Amazon’s blazingly fast Cloudfront service.

For you as a customer, things will look and work exactly as before – but behind the scenes, sound effects libraries downloaded from A Sound Effect are now delivered from 54 edge locations on five continents, from the location that’s nearest to you.

And the end-result? Very speedy, stable sound effects downloads for everyone, no matter where you’re located on the planet.

I’ve also been doing a lot of speed improvements to the site itself, optimizing page response times and doing a lot of backend tweaking. So if the site seems snappier than usual – from SFX downloading to everyday browsing – that’s why :)
