This week on A Sound Effect, we explore 5 new sound effects libraries covering both ends of the dynamic scale – from BOOM Library’s 5,600-sound car crash construction kit and tense first-person scuba recordings to 280 minutes of quiet exhibition hall ambience at 192 kHz.
You’ll also find a 1.8-liter Mazda roadster captured with synchronized cabin, engine, and exhaust microphones, and gale-force Scirocco winds recorded along Montenegro’s Adriatic coastline, both in open landscapes and through rattling, creaking interiors.
Road Rage
A car crash construction kit recorded in studio, scrapyard, and crane-drop sessions – 5,600+ glass and metal elements plus 90 pre-assembled sequences for film and game audio.
Exhibition Hall Ambience
This ambience sound library captures an empty exhibition hall’s room tone, getting you 280 minutes of HVAC hum, soft reverberation, and structural creaks at 192 kHz.
Sports Car, Mazda Miata MX5
Get a rev-happy 1.8-liter roadster with synchronized cabin, engine, and exhaust perspectives, covering steady driving, pass-bys, static revs, and mechanical foley in 82 files.
Diver Perspective
First-person scuba recordings, with regulator breathing, bubbles rushing past the helmet, equipment clangs, and muffled vocalizations tense enough for horror work. 62 minutes recorded on real dives.
Wind Gusts
Recorded at 32-bit, 192 kHz, this library documents a violent Scirocco storm on Montenegro’s Adriatic coast, from howling exterior gusts to interior window rattles and whistling draughts.
