Hello my names Cal, happy and proud to be classed as a Sound Designer and working within the Audio Industry. I came late to the game but deep down this has always been a passion of mine. Since around 2017 I’ve been Sound Designing and Composing but in 2020 I did some field recording for a film and enjoyed it so much I added field recording to my belt, this led to me creating Sample Packs and Kontakt Instruments under the business name In Motion Audio. Cinematic & Trailer Sound Effects Sinister Textures 4 Play Track 64 sounds included, 12 mins total $20

We follow up Vol 1-3 with the 4th instalment of the Sinister Series .

For this volume we used a noise box, which we recorded directly from its onboard contact microphone through some guitar pedals, using the Boss PS2, DD7 and the RV6 as well as the TC Electronics Quintessence, which enhanced the characteristics of the noise box giving you a variety of reverb, delay, distorted and pitched one shot hits. Creating some Eerie, Scary, Horrorfull and down right Sinister hits which can be used across horror, thriller or suspense projects to create tension, impact and jump scares.

We heard there was a storm coming to the UK so of course we wanted to record it, instead of going to a wide open space we wanted to record it in a typical UK back garden, mainly as we wanted to record a storm reacting with its surroundings. This Storm was moderate in nature, we managed to record gusts of wind and rain as well as the storm rattling fences, blowing bushes/trees and moving items, as well as general residential/suburban sounds.

Environments & Ambiences Chimney Wind Play Track 30 sounds included, 93 mins total $7

There was a massive storm going on outside and we could hear the wind from the chimney so we popped our field recording kit up and extended the microphones to as far as they would go up the chimney and pressed record. We managed to capture the low end and rumbles of the wind interacting with the chimney.

We then tried adding some reverb on to the samples to give space and context which wasn’t exactly part of the plan for this sample pack but we thought it added something so decided to add these samples to the sample pack for no extra cost.

We wanted to redesign some of our Coil Pickup recordings so we fired them into our in house Kontakt instrument and started to redesign them.

We centred the Zoom H4N facing an average UK back garden on a spring ish day and recorded someone naturally mowing their lawn with an electric mower.

This sample pack has different perspectives from close to distant mowing, with different panning elements which were recorded naturally from up to down to left to right and a lawn Mower stopping.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!

A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.

And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
