  • This library offers a collection of recordings from Iceland during the winter season. The landscape is cold and blanketed in snow. You can hear the biting icy wind, the pervasive chill, and, occasionally, the calls of a few birds and a solitary raven. These recordings capture the serene, remote and stark beauty of Icelandic winter ambiances.

All recordings are clear and entirely devoid of external noise and human disruptions. This is why this library is particularly valuable for productions set in the past, such as medieval and ancient times as well as for historical and nature documentaries.

All these nature ambiences are recorded using two microphone setups: a Double MS Stereo setup and a spaced omnis setup, the latter also providing extended frequency response. This results in four variations for each recording: Stereo, Wide Stereo, Wide AB Stereo, and 5-channel 5.0 surround. The variances between these options range from subtle to more pronounced, offering flexibility for crosscutting within scenes.

Get more than 3 hours of unique, royalty-free and notably high quality recordings with this library. Recorded in 24 bit / 96 kHz. Accurately edited and mastered to sound as natural as possible. With an average duration ranging from 2 to 7 1/2 minutes per file, there’s ample time to integrate them seamlessly into longer scenes without the need for looping. For more detailed descriptions of the ambiences within this collection, please refer to the metadata provided in our file lists or listen to the preview montage.

This library is UCS compliant (universalcategorysystem.com). In this new category system, all files contain extensive metadata like file description, Category & Subcategory. Metadata can be read and processed by the most common audio libraries management tools.

  • Neighbors: Sounds Behind Walls is a unique collection, offering over 3 hours of sounds capturing the daily activities of neighbors living next or above you. This collection can be used especially to bring life to quiet spaces/rooms.

Think about indistinct sounds from neighbors walking around, setting the table, making coffee, tea, load and unload the dishwasher, cooking, tidying up the room, flushing the toilet, using the water tap, vacuum cleaning, dry blowing their hair, brushing their teeth, taking something out of the fridge or freezer, opening and closing curtains, or even practicing an instrument. And that is not all. We’ve also covered a “noisy” neighbor walking around the room, using or slamming doors, jumping, moving furniture and walking up and down the stairs.

All recordings are clear and completely free from external noise, voices and other disruptions. No additional reverb is used for more flexibility.

Utilizing two microphone setups provides two variations for each recording, offering both more pronounced and more distant options.
