I am a Canadian sound artist, field recordist, sound designer, and electronic musician whose work seeks deeper truths about human emotion and experience, using sound as a medium of inquiry and expression. My work has appeared in film, video, podcasts, video games, and in demonstration audio for music hardware and software companies.ย I approach sound as living materialโsomething to be uncovered, shaped, and allowed to speak in its own voice. My field recording practice leans toward the nonโtraditional, combining contact microphones, geophones, hydrophones, electromagnetic sensors, and traditional microphones to listen through surfaces, infrastructures, and environments, often reaching into infrasonic and ultrasonic territory. This way of working naturally extends into my use of immersive audio formats, particularly Dolby Atmos and ambisonics.ย Adept at modular, analog, and digital synthesizer programming, I approach synthesis as another way of working with sound-as-material; my synthesis work often intersects with field recordings and spatial formats, allowing electronic sound to sit comfortably alongside realโworld acoustics.ย These elements infuse my libraries with a sense of texture and depth that comes from listening closely to the world. The sounds are captured and shapedย with the same care I bring to my Sound Art work, resulting in versatile libraries that encourage sonic exploration.ย
