Types of recordings included:

Off Load:
Description of the sound file where the engine is working under no load (when out-of-gear and stationary). For the most, these sounds are suitable to represent “Off Load” applications. A steady pitch of an engine running completely off load was impossible to capture during the recording session.

On Load:
Description of the sound file where the engine is working under load (acceleration). Satisfactory sounds were unobtainable at high engine speeds due to gearbox limitations or at high road speeds due to engine bay temperature and wind noise during the recording session.
For higher engine speeds, it is acceptable to use the “Off Load” sound files for both “On Load” and “Off Load” conditions.

Engine Speeds:
Engine sound files were recorded at a range of different engine speeds between idle (tickover) and the maximum engine speed (red line). Files are numbered according to the approximate recorded revolutions-per-minute (RPM) reading and may need fine pitch tuning once compiled.

Gearbox Sounds:
A small number of processed sound loops are contained within this soundpack, which represent the characteristic note of the rear axle. The files are numbered according to the approximate recorded speed in miles-per-hour (MPH) and may need fine pitch tuning once compiled.

All sound files have been mastered to peak at -0.5dB, except in some cases where the sounds are part of a set that would make the master level of related sounds disproportionate when linked.
