Product Description
This is not an average tram sound collection. Over a span of five years, I recorded a broad variety of rails. The mics listened to Mono-Rails with upside down waggons,ย a skytrain at the airport and the world famous Schwebebahn in Wuppertal. I went underground to record various subways and recorded electric trams in a bunch of German cities.
The focus is on driving sounds from inside the cabines. Captured from closing doors to opening doors, from start to stop. There are also plenty of pass bys on platforms and arriving and departing trains at the stations, as well as some idles.
Most recordings are of empty cars, without any chatter. As a bonus, some recordings of packed carriages are also included. The amount of walla is mentioned in the file names and meta data.
Be prepared for rattling, rumbling, screeching, honking, creaking, grinding and smooth driving.
Most trains have been recorded in NRW, Germany. Railways recorded: mostly Docklands Light Railway (DLR) P86 & P89) (Linke-hofman Busch) and Stadtbahn B Wagen (DUEWAG, Siemens, BBC) were recorded for trams and subways as also driving in London, GB.
Walla is gibberish, German, Turkish or English.
