The Stone and Sand Sound Library
The Stone and Sand sound library includes 393 sound files with over 1300 takes in 16.25 gigabytes of field recordings. Created as a toolbox for sound designers, the Stone and Sand collection includes samples from 17 families of rocks, sand, and dirt. Boulders, stones, gravel, and pebbles join field recordings of grit. Also portrayed are recordings of shards, roof tiles, crushed rock, concrete plate, sand grit, and pea stones.
Recorded in design-friendly 192 kHz/24-bit, the library performances depict dropping, hitting, throwing, sliding, trickling, debris, and more from up to three perspectives from ultra-clean high-resolution microphones. Each file features multiple performances to allow for extensive editing flexibility.
The 1300+ takes are carefully organized in folders and supplemented by extensive embedded metadata to help find the perfect sound quickly.
