Product Description
Proudly presenting the London Warehouse Firearms Library 2!
Delivering 288 files with multiple takes per file, totalling 6.87 GB of raw, gritty guns recorded across 20 channels using high quality mics including a Neumann Binaural head.
This library includes 100% new recordings. While all the material here is unique, there is some crossover with the original, the large warehouse was used again but with different mics and weapons, and the other spaces are all new which makes it a perfect companion library to the original.
The material recorded for this release includes new perspectives, firearms, and mics (including a Neumann Binaural head), and the new spaces provide additional environments with unique reflections.
288 files are included totalling 6.87 GB, most files include multiple takes. All named and edited to make it easy to navigate and select takes across the range of mics, distances, perspectives, all chosen for their unique characteristics.
16 mics with 20 channels of recording at various distances, from the DPA 4062 on the guns themselves, to distances of 40 and 50 meters away.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully, so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
Use them raw with a little eq for a realistic, gritty and visceral aesthetic, or layer them with other elements to impart a grounded sense of space to more designed sounds, they work fantastically in either case.
Please note:
Not all firearms were used in each location due to safety and property concerns, for example firing the .50 cal Steyr in the office probably would have brought some of the ceiling down on us, and shattered a few windows. Maybe next time.
Not all mics were used in all locations, see tracklist for complete breakdown of takes and setup.
