Recorded with contact mics and guitar pickups at 192kHz, the raw sounds provide uniquely organic building blocks for processing and manipulation. The acoustic isolation and high resolution of each file makes these sounds incredibly flexible for editing and ripe for imaginative sound design. The collection’s designed sounds have been expertly sculpted, pitched, and processed at 96kHz using parts of the raw files. As the first exclusive Sonomar Collection release from Pro Sound Effects, Bass Machine demonstrates the sonic curiosity of sound designer and recordist Martin Pinsonnault (Big Little Lies, Dallas Buyers Club) and the Sonomar team. Together they created the contraption, recorded and performed sounds over many hours of experimentation with the instrument, and then meticulously trimmed, designed, and organized the results for a truly generous and limitless sound library.
