Recorded both in ORTF and MS Stereo, the depth of field and stereo spread in this library is useful to convey the movement of each whiz-by, but narrow enough not to distract. The ORTF files feel large and distant, while the Mid Side files have an exciting ‘oomph!’ as they zip by that centre channel.

Using a Sennheiser MKH8040 pair for the ORTF recordings, and a Sennheiser MKH50/30 combo for the Mid-Side, only slight noise reduction and gentle equalization were used during post processing.

Care was taken to record outside in a natural environment, so any early reflections that made their way into the recording are minimal & natural sounding.
