Product Description
Rainscape contains over five hours of long-form rain recordings, falling on natural and man-made surfaces, from interior and exterior perspectives, as well as on assemblies of props, objects and constructions of various materials.
Sound designer Nathan Moody recorded Rainscape across many years and in many places throughout North America, such as forests, grasslands, underground tunnels, various quiet spots in cities, remote rural motels, and suburbs throughout the United States. Interesting textures also come from objects nearby: House gutters, in-ground drainboxes, and more. Most of the material is stereo, but a few recordings are quad. The field recordings serve well as beds; many of them are quite long, capturing the natural ebb and flow of rain intensity, while also being handy for conversion from stereo to quad.
He also assembled props such as plastic bins, piles of wood debris, steel plates, and metal boxes to capture more characterful rain textures. These detailed prop recordings are great for room ambiences or point-source emitters in games.ย
From gentle to torrential, Rainscape provides a diverse toolkit of fresh rain textures for your film or game production.
