Product Description
Unique Kontakt sampler instrument with 23 real bells.
At its core, Rainbow Handbells is the result of a rigorous and
thoughtful sampling process.
Each bell was recorded individually, in an acoustically controlled studio,
using a premium selection of microphones to ensure both clarity and
richness in every sample.
All recordings were captured at 24-bit / 96kHz, preserving every nuance,
transient, and tonal overtone with stunning fidelity.
The instrument offers three performance modes, accessible directly
from the Kontakt interface, each representing a different playing technique
and resulting in a radically different tonal and emotional experience:
• Pushed Mode
This mode replicates the sound of handbells struck precisely by pressing
their internal clapper mechanism. Every bell was played with surgical control, ensuring that the clapper only strikes the bell once per sample—
resulting in a tight, articulate, and percussive sound. It’s perfect for rhythmic
motifs, accent lines, and layered arrangements where control and clarity are paramount.
• Shaked Mode
Here, the bells are shaken in the traditional way, side to side,
allowing the clapper to move freely and strike the bell multiple times
per motion. This creates a rich, resonant, and continuously evolving tone
with layered harmonics and natural modulation.
Ideal for creating ethereal textures, melodic layers, and ambient washes,
this mode captures the true magic of handbell performance with all its
shimmer and organic unpredictability.
• Padded Mode
A reimagined version of the instrument, the Padded Mode transforms
the raw bell recordings into lush, ambient soundscapes.
With gentle filtering, layering, and subtle modulation, each bell becomes
a soft, evolving pad, offering a completely new way to use the instrument.
