Product Description
Field Recording Library presents FRL. Russian School โ the projectโs first highly focused sound library entirely dedicated to the sonic world of Russian schools. While previous libraries were assembled from a wide range of spaces, environments, and geographies, Russian School became an attempt to concentrate within a single world: to define a clear artistic direction in advance and build a cohesive sonic system around one specific environment.
All recordings were made across several schools in Saint Petersburg, covering different age groups, classroom activities, and spatial conditions. The library includes atmospheres from elementary school music and literature lessons, middle school physical education and mathematics classes, and high school history, literature, and everyday academic life. Alongside active conversational ambiences, the collection also captures quieter classroom states, pauses between lessons, rare moments of silence, interior corridor spaces, and school breaks.
Special attention was given to the natural dynamics of the environment. A school space is constantly changing: the density of voices, the emotional state of children, the rhythm of movement, the acoustics of rooms, and even the perception of time within a lesson create an enormous range of unique sonic conditions. Because of this, the library offers extensive flexibility for editing and can be used not only in scenes directly related to schools, but in any project requiring a living, layered social atmosphere.
FRL. Russian School became the first library in the project conceived as a unified dramatic environment.
All files are catalogued according to the UCS standard and prepared for fast search and seamless integration into professional post-production workflows.
Recordings were captured in 96 kHz / 24-bit format, preserving the natural depth of space, vocal detail, and flexibility for further processing.
