โ ๏ธ WARNING: Heavy Machinery in Operation โ Expect Explosive Wood Hits โ ๏ธ
Welcome to the second volume of the EXCAVATOR MAYHEM series.
This time, the focus is on capturing some of the most violent, aggressive, and crunchy wood destruction sounds possible in the real world. No studio props, no reinforced layers, no fake sweeteners. Just real trees, real machinery, and real hydraulic force.
For this library, a 10-ton backhoe loader was used to pull, crush, tear, snap, twist, and break massive wooden branches and trunks from large trees that had previously been cut down for safety reasons. These were not small pieces of wood being broken in a controlled room. This was heavy machinery forcing real timber past its breaking point.
The tree falls themselves were recorded, of course, but the truly brutal material began once the hydraulic power came into play. Since these sounds required tons of pressure and mechanical movement, the machine had to remain running during the performance. However, every recording was carefully cleaned afterwards, with extensive engine reduction applied to deliver clean, ready-to-use wood destruction files.
The result is a collection of powerful sounds that can be dropped straight into your session, layered with other elements, or used as the main source for large-scale destruction design. You can hear the wood resisting, bending, cracking, splintering, and finally exploding under pressure, while keeping the files clean and practical for professional sound editing.
TORTURED TREES is designed for moments where ordinary wood breaks are simply not enough: collapsing forests, creature movement, giant impacts, destruction sequences, heavy debris, trailers, horror, war scenes, disaster films, and anything that needs wood to sound huge, dangerous, and alive.
This is not clean Foley wood.
This is real timber under hydraulic torture โ captured, cleaned, and ready to destroy.
