The Carrier 30HKE was recorded simultaneously across seven time-aligned perspectives, allowing its individual mechanical, electrical, and fluid components to be isolated or combined into a complete machine sound.
Five focused perspectives capture the reciprocating compressor, expansion valve and refrigerant flow, water circulation pumps, cooling-loop fluid movement, and electrical control activity. A main ORTF stereo pair captures the complete machine and can be used independently, while a widely spaced stereo omni outrigger pair can be blended with the main pair for additional width, low-frequency energy, and a greater sense of scale.
All seven stems remain synchronized throughout the complete operating sequence, making it possible to build anything from an isolated mechanical element to a full, spacious representation of the chiller. A separate stereo reference mix is also included.
