Product Description
The Ambiences from Croatia is a library recorded at the heart of Adriatic. This collection follows from Split, Dubrovnik, across the island of Hvar, capturing the specific, unhurried pace of a Mediterranean summer.
The journey begins in the narrow kale of Stari Grad, where high limestone walls give the recordings specific character. In the town squares, the morning opens with the clatter of rigging from the marina and the sharp hiss of espresso machines, eventually giving way to the heavy, polyphonic tolling of church bells at noon.
Beyond the town limits, the atmosphere shifts toward the dry, high-altitude stillness of Glavica Hill and the secluded bays of the coastline. Here, the recording perspective moves into the deep pine forests, where the air is thick with the constant, immersive drone of cicadas โ a sound that defines the islandโs heat. From these heights, the world below is reduced to a distant, muffled hum: a passing motorboat in the bay, the occasional cry of a seagull, or the faint bustle of village life in Milna.
Every track is cataloged with detailed UCS-compliant metadata, preserving not just the sounds, but the spatial depth and acoustic character of this specific corner of the world.
