Product Description
Welcome to the definitive and purest sound of the Airbus H125 three-blade helicopter, featuring 83 minutes in total.
The Pro Expansion delivers the largest, cleanest and most comprehensive H125 library ever recorded. Captured in a completely isolated valley and crafted for demanding sound designers, it covers every imaginable sound a helicopter can produce: engine starts, take-offs, hoverings, load lifts, orbitings, pass-bys, fly-aways, approaches and landings โ recorded across very close, close, medium, distant, far and extreme-far perspectives, in both stereo and ambisonics and from exterior and onboard. Everything is included!
This library was recorded to capture the most real โ yet cinematic โ rotor sound possible. The aim was to get the pure blade chop cutting through the air โ not the constant turbine hiss most helicopter recordings are plagued with.
_
This is the sequel to the original AIRBUS H125 HELICOPTER library โ recorded after having worked with, mixed, and torn apart every inch of the first release. The goal was simple: apply everything learned and push the recordings further, with more control, better gear, and more acoustic detail when another opportunity to record this chopper came to me.
This expansion delivers the pure rotor chopping of the Airbus H125 โ the unmistakable rhythmic pressure hits that happen when the helicopter raises collective, holds a hover, or performs tight turns. Not turbine hiss. Not generic rotor noise. Real, physical air being pushed and shaped.
Recorded in an isolated valley with repeatable flight patterns, every maneuver was captured across many different distance sets โ from very close to extreme far. This lets you hear how the chopping builds, opens, and travels through space, always with clean definition and presence. Perfect for cinematic sound design, realistic aircraft scenes, and any moment where the helicopter needs to sound alive.
WHY THIS LIBRARY IS FOR YOU?
It doesnโt matter if youโre a newcomer to the world of sound or a demanding sound designer โ this library is the perfect tool for any audio professional. The files have been meticulously recorded and edited to deliver clean, precise material thatโs also intuitive and easy to navigate, thanks to visually descriptive naming and extensive metadata. In addition, the library includes a set of pre-designed samples created from the raw recordings, giving you versatile, ready-to-use material for those moments when youโre in a hurry and need a drag and drop helicopter sound.
Very close, close, medium, distant, far and extreme far recording variations for every single maneuver.
Onboard and Exterior perspectives.
Both stereo and ambisonic recordings.
Raw and Designed files
WHY THIS EXPANSION
This library came to life after being told that an Airbus H125 would once again be operating with a cargo hook near the mountain โ but this time, over a continuous three-week period. That window allowed me to plan four dedicated recording sessions on four separate days, patiently waiting for the quietest ambiences and the most expressive maneuvering conditions in close collaboration with the helicopter crew.
Throughout the operation, the aircraft repeatedly lifted heavy concrete buckets from a field to the top of a mountain, following different flight patterns each day. This gave me the rare opportunity to capture the full sonic palette of the H125 โ from subtle mechanical details to the most dramatic, cinematic choppings โ resulting in one of the most complete and carefully crafted helicopter sound libraries available today.
