Product Description
I have been recording with the same microphone setup for give or take 30 years. I have switched the actual microphones but they are always an M+S Schoeps pair and I always have encoded them to L, R the same way. Why does that matter? Well, this is my collection of doors that I have recorded over that time span. Some are targets of opportunity and thus recorded with what ever was in my backpack, but most are those Schoeps microphones in the real world spaces that the doors were in and though not fancy, or overly designed, all have character that speaks sonically. They are often wonderfully understated, sometimes roomy enough to be off camera, sometimes close enough to hit you in the face like brutal uppercut. I hope you find them useful and a library you will go to often.
