In the calm before the storm, a new teacher arrives early, with lesson plans ready to go, waiting for the school busses to role in. He slows his breath, meditating on the cool humming of the AC, buzzing fluorescent lights and ticking clock that keeps him company. 'Empty School Roomtones' by Borg Sound captures these ambiences and more with 21 ambient sounds captured during the holiday break. There is the faint rumble of traffic on the other side of a dining hall's glass doors, buzzing elevators, humming heaters, trickling water pipes, and other sounds that, with no voices of children or teens, signals the building is at peace.

'Pass-By: Trains, Trucks & Cars' by SoundBits is a superbly captured library featuring over 170 sounds of trains, trucks and cars as their sound waves surf the Doppler Effect back to the mics. This collection gives you passbys of sports cars, motorcycles, freight trains, and trucks of all shapes and sizes as they rush past your left and right ears with fury. The library also features various speeds of the vehicles, making them the perfect candidates for whoosh and transition design, too. Also by Robert Kubicki is 'Ambiences from Copenhagen', an assortment of ambiences from Denmark's capital. In this library you will hear ambiences from museums, parks, promenades, train stations and subways, airports, restaurants, the University's historic Botanical Garden, and crowd ambiences that display the interesting Danish accent.
